It was reported widely last night that former WCW and WWE wrestler Sean O'Haire had died at his home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. At the time, no cause of death was known, though the county coroner reportedly told TMZ that no foul play was suspected and they were awaiting toxicology reports.
Today, TMZ updated their story:
According to local police, O'Haire committed suicide. He was found in his bedroom beside his bed, with a red rope tied around his neck and connected to the bedpost. His body was discovered by his father, who then called 911.
We at Cageside Seats extend our condolences to his family and all those affected by this.
