Evolution & Kane vs. The Shield & Daniel Bryan War Games match at Extreme Rules?

Unfortunately...

"YOU JUST STARTED A WAR!

"YOU JUST STARTED A WAR YOU CANNOT WIN!"

Those were the words Triple H was shouting at Daniel Bryan and The Shield to close out last night's (April 7, 2014) episode of Monday Night Raw in New Orleans after an incredible Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose saved the WWE world heavyweight champion from "The Game" and his cronies, Batista, Randy Orton, and Kane.

Let's just go back and watch this awesome segment:

What an awesome way to end Raw the night after WrestleMania, right?

Because of the verbiage and number of players involved, the idea of a War Games match at the Extreme Rules event was immediately bandied about by fans and pundits everywhere. Triple H has long wanted as much, if we're to believe the dirt screens (new name for dirt sheets, it's 2014, y'all), and what better time to do it than now when the eight wrestlers involved would absolutely tear the house down?

Plus, that War Games DVD released by WWE did very good numbers.

That said, Wrestling Observer brings the bad news that we shouldn't "hold our breath" because none of the arenas from now until at least SummerSlam are capable of a two-ring setup. That doesn't mean they couldn't run the match with War Games rules in only one ring, but that wouldn't be as special.

Not to mention, Vince McMahon has never been okay with doing this particular gimmick match before.

It's still possible this match happens, though so, as always, stay tuned. For now let's vote in a poll to see how many of you want this to happen.
