As was first reported at WWE.com, Dolph Ziggler suffered a concussion during his match with Ryback that was taped for Superstars before "Old School" Raw last night (Jan. 6, 2014) in Baltimore, Maryland. According to the initial report, the concussion, Ziggler's second in eight months, occurred on a particularly stiff clothesline.
Because of that, there is now heat on Ryback.
That's according to a report from PW Insider, who note that this is an ongoing issue and there have been "continuing complaints" about his being "reckless" in the ring. That could also be the reason he's been booked into oblivion over the past year or so.
Giving his fellow workers serious injuries won't help matters.
It's interesting to note here that one Cagesider who attended the show last night and saw the match live believed it possible the clothesline spot wasn't where Ziggler got injured, but rather another point in the match. Dolph also got to the finish, taking a Shell Shock before the pinfall. He was only attended to after.
Assuming WWE can sign Goldberg and book him for WrestleMania 30 as has been rumored, maybe now no one will feel bad about making Ryback do the job for him.
