With it being the beginning of a new month, inDemand has released the latest batch of pay-per-view (PPV) event posters. That includes for the upcoming WWE Night of Champions show scheduled for Sun., Sept. 15, 2013, at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
So here it is:
Yes, that's Kofi Kingston, who hasn't been seen on television in months, holding up the Intercontinental title, which he hasn't held in months. Actually, he isn't even featured in the text advertisement:
"There are moments when time stops, and one instant lasts forever. When determination turns to celebration, and dreams come true. These are the moments that define WWE Night of Champions. Don't miss John Cena, C.M. Punk, Alberto Del Rio, and your favorite WWE Superstars on Sunday, September 15 at 8:00 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST, live on pay-per-view."
Of course, WWE never seems to let silly things like that get in the way of its promotional material, mostly because posters have to be made this far ahead of time and there's no way Vince McMahon would risk spoiling any potential storylines.
So this is just a nifty little poster designed to raise awareness, more than anything. Still, wouldn't it be nice if they could do something like the UFC and actually feature the top talent on the show in the poster for it?
