Well, it didn't take long for WWE to realize a straight up ambulance match between John Cena and Ryback, even if it is for the WWE championship, was a bad idea. That's why the former came out on Monday Night Raw tonight (May 27, 2013)and announced that they've added a couple stipulations while still keeping the ambulance gimmick.
Indeed, the two will now have a 3 Stages of Hell match in the main event of the Payback pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., June 16, 2013, at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Here are the three stages:
Stage one: Lumberjack
Stage two: Table
Stage three: Ambulance
Cena was smart enough to explain why the third stipulation would be necessary by simply saying he'll be tossing Ryback in the ambulance at the end of the night no matter if he wins the first two falls or not.
Still, this means the two are undoubtedly going to run an even longer match than they planned to before, though many felt their Last Man Standing match at Extreme Rules was much better than expected.
Any big hopes, Cagesiders?
