William Moody, better known as pro wrestling manager Paul Bearer, has died at the age of 58.
Paul Bearer, the legendary longtime manger of the Undertaker, died today (March 5, 2013) at the age of 58. No details have been released just yet on what the cause of his death was. WWE posted a story on its website not long ago confirming the terribly unfortunate news.
WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer. Moody made his WWE debut in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker and went on to become a memorable part of WWE over the course of the next 20 years.
CagesideSeats.com would like to extend its deepest condolences to his surviving family and friends.
Our friend Scott Christ of BadLeftHook.com and Tape Machines Are Rolling remembered a poem Bearer wrote and read for Owen Hart on Monday Night Raw the night after he died in 1999:
"He will not grow old, like we who are left grow old/Age shall not weary him, nor the years condemn/... "After going down of the sun, and in the morning/We will remember him, goodbye old buddy."
Rest in peace, Paul Bearer.
