Mickie James would 'love' to return to WWE

ImpactWrestling.com

In an interview with WWE.com, Mickie James reveals she would love to return to the promotion. And after turning down a contract offer from TNA, she could very well be on her way back.

Just a number of days ago, news came out that Mickie James is working as a coach and trainer down at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, helping young talents find their way in the pro wrestling world. That news was received well by fans and led to the obvious question.

Is she coming back to Stamford to sign a new deal to return to her former home?

Of all the outlets to ask, WWE.com has the story:

WWE.COM: Last question: Any chance your trip to the WWE Performance Center means you're coming back?

MICKIE: Of course, I would absolutely love that, but you never know. I'm just trying to take advantage of this opportunity. If I can pass a little knowledge of what I know, then hopefully that will do something, if not for me, then for the future of WWE and women's wrestling itself.

Before James left TNA this year, she was doing some of the best heel work of her entire career, possibly as good as her feud with Trish Stratus all those years ago. The promotion attempted to resign her, offering a reported $60,000 a year contract, but she passed it up.

Perhaps she'll be back with WWE sooner rather than later.

If she does, she's got a list of ladies she would love to work with:

"Oh, gosh, yes. I would love to work with Natalya; we only had a couple matches when I was there. I would love to work with AJ Lee, and I think Brie [Bella] has really come a long way since I was in WWE, so I'd love to do some stuff with her."
