This should come as no real surprise to anyone but in an interview with Arda Ocal of theScore, Mick Foley, who was just today announced as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame class 2013, revealed who he wants to induct him.
From the above video:
"Al Snow would be a possibility. But I think who it would come down to is two people -- Terry Funk or Jim Ross. It would hurt me to not have one of them there because Terry meant so much to me as a mentor and a wrestler and J.R. really put his reputation, and possibly his job, on the line to bring me in because Vince was not sold, believe it or not, on Mick Foley. He was not a Mick Foley fan when I came into the company and it took quite a while for him to become one."
Funk and Foley are two peas in a pod and the hardcore legends belong together in something like this. It would be a real shame if Funk wasn't the guy to induct him. I see no reason for WWE not to allow both Funk and Ross to do the honors come April 6 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
