Antonio Cesaro pinned R-Truth to retain the U.S. championship at the WWE TLC pay-per-view on Sun., Dec. 16, 2012, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
This was certainly no shocker.
Antonio Cesaro has been one of the strongest United States champions in some time, so it would have made no sense R-Truth to take the title off him at tonight's (Sun., Dec. 16, 2012) WWE TLC pay-per-view (PPV) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
And he didn't.
Cesaro worked his power style, though he did sell quite a bit of Truth's offense. Eventually, though, he hit the Neutralizer to pick up the pin to retain his championship. It seems clear the time for a new challenger is now.
