WWE 'TLC' Preview: Hell No & Ryback vs. The Shield

TLC Match: Team Hell No & Ryback vs. The Shield

Will the cunning nature of The Shield be able to defeat the fury within Team Hell No's Daniel Bryan & Kane and their tag team partner Ryback? With tables, ladders, and chairs involved, who will come out on top?

The road to TLC

WWE Champion CM Punk took on Ryback at Survivor Series. While Ryback was in control and en route to capturing the gold, NXT prospects Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns made their presence felt by slamming Ryback through the announce table to allow Punk to retain.

The stable known as The Shield had arrived.

CM Punk went down with injury during a Miz TV segment that The Shield helped save him from. With that, Ryback and previous Shield victims Team Hell No were thrust into the spotlight against The Shield in one of the most dangerous matches in WWE history.

The Shield have made their presence felt on the likes of Randy Orton and Team Hell No. Will their impact give them momentum to carry over into this match?

What's at stake?

The Shield has this invincible quality about them, showing up whenever they feel an injustice is in progress. They have shown little weakness in their pack mentality, save for equal numbers to counter their vicious assaults. With equal numbers tonight, they can show that they are not as weak as perceived and show that they are formidable opposition against any number.

For Ryback and Team Hell No, this is their chance to punish the group for the assaults perpetrated on them. The unlikely partners have an opportunity to prevent the rest of the WWE from being in danger from this ruthless pack of renegades.

Who will survive the brutality of the tables, ladders, and chairs in this match? Be sure to tune in TONIGHT for this TLC main event!

WWE 'TLC' Preview: Big Show vs. Sheamus

Chairs Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Big Show (c) vs. Sheamus

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Big Show and Sheamus have had a no-contact clause in place in the weeks prior to their rematch at TLC. With chairs being a legal weapon in this match, will the giant or the man from Ireland take home gold tonight?

The road to TLC

In the final days of October, Big Show defeated Sheamus at Hell in a Cell for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Since then, it has been nonstop between the two, with many words spoken and strikes thrown. This lead to a rematch between the two at Survivor Series, which ended in controversy. Show pulled a referee in front of a Brogue Kick. Sheamus helped to tend to the referee, but turned around into a KO Punch. Big Show scored the pin, but it was then reversed to a DQ loss for Show. He still retained the title and Sheamus proceeded to lay an unholy beating on Show with a steel chair.

All of this leads to yet another rematch. To prevent anything from happening prior to tonight, SmackDown GM Booker T placed a no-contact clause between the two. This was almost broken on Friday's SmackDown, as Antonio Cesaro shoved Sheamus into Big Show. After a little "convincing" from Sheamus by wielding a chair in front of Show and daring him to revoke the match, the match was put back in place.

What's at stake?

Big Show has a title and a reputation to maintain. He has seemed scared of the fire Sheamus has brought as of late and needs to keep his fearless giant aura in tact. Additionally, the title has brought about an even bigger mean streak in Show. The title brings him legitimacy and it would be a big blow if he were to lose it.

For Sheamus, he needs to prove that he is smart enough to overcome Show's devious tactics. He has proven to be physically capable, but to return to the level of greatness he was once at, he needs to avoid all traps and just put the beating he can deliver on Show.

Who will walk out with gold at TLC between Big Show and Sheamus? Find out TONIGHT!

WWE 'TLC' Preview: John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler

Ladder Match for the Money in the Bank Briefcase: John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler

John Cena is looking to put a bit of punishment on Dolph Ziggler for his participation in the infamous AJ Lee scandal by taking his Money in the Bank briefcase and getting a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. Can Cena climb the ladder to take away Ziggler's title shot tonight at TLC?

The road to TLC

On the Nov. 5 edition of Raw, Dolph Ziggler injected himself in the feud going on between John Cena and Vickie Guerrero over the topic of a potential AJ Lee scandal. The next week, things picked up as AJ Lee went into the WWE men's locker room to defend John Cena after he was attacked by Ziggler. Ziggler torn in on AJ verbally, prompting her to attack Ziggler. Cena came in to break it up, but Ziggler put in a sneak attack and put Cena through a bathroom stall.

Since then, it has been nonstop accusations and confrontations between the teams of Cena and AJ and Vickie and Ziggler.

When Mr. McMahon visited on the Dec. 3 edition of Raw, he forced Vickie to put Cena up against Ziggler with the latter's Money in the Bank briefcase on the line in a ladder match. The two have tried to get the advantage on each other through various sneak attacks and verbal sparring matches, but it will all come down to who can climb that ladder tonight.

What's at stake?

For Ziggler, tonight is a shot at maintaining his chance to once again become World Heavyweight Champion. This presents an opportunity to erase his 11-minute title reign he had in the early part of 2011. With that, Ziggler can finally etch his name into the history books with a win here to maintain that title opportunity.

Cena can maintain his recent status as a man in contention for a world title by climbing the ladder tonight. While he was unable to best rival CM Punk, Cena has yet another opportunity to prove himself worthy of some gold for the first time in quite a while.

Who will climb the ladder to retrieve the most important briefcase of their life? Find out TONIGHT at TLC.

WWE 'TLC' Preview: Antonio Cesaro vs. R-Truth

WWE United States Championship: Antonio Cesaro (c) vs. R-Truth

Swiss export and current WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro looks to make sure his claim that no American can beat him holds true as he takes on R-Truth tonight at TLC.

The road to TLC

Since SummerSlam, Antonio Cesaro has blazed a path of destruction through the field of contenders for his WWE United States Championship. Many have fallen at the hands of Cesaro and his powerful Swiss Death and Gotch Neutralizer signature moves.

However, many aren't as impressed with Cesaro, who has taken to insulting the United States in favor of his homeland of Switzerland. One of these men is R-Truth.

Truth and Cesaro met up in November at Survivor Series in a match for the belt. Cesaro came away victorious, but later that week on SmackDown, Truth beat Cesaro in a non-title matchup. Though Cesaro's belt has been put up a few times, in addition to numerous other times he has taken on Truth in non-title matches with other situations, the two have been competitive and look to settle the score tonight.

What's at stake?

Cesaro has both his belt and his aura on the line here. Having defended the belt for months on end and defeated larger men like Brodus Clay, Cesaro has proved to be nearly unbeatable. While he has been prone to a slip here and there, he largely is only one Swiss Death away from putting the Gotch Neutralizer in for the victory.

Truth is battling for his country and for his pride here. He has been somewhat quiet in terms of competition, not really having a place in any title picture until he locked up with Cesaro. He also has painted himself into a corner by defending the US and wants to ensure the American masses that Cesaro's Swiss nationalism will not be tolerated.

TONIGHT at TLC, Antonio Cesaro will look to maintain his stride in disposing of contenders for the WWE United States Championship. Can R-Truth finally put a end to the Swiss strongman's reign? Turn in to TLC to find out.

WWE 'TLC' Preview: Kofi Kingston vs. Wade Barrett

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Wade Barrett

The reigning Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston looks to retain his title against one of England's toughest fighters, Wade Barrett, tonight at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.

The road to TLC

Kofi Kingston defeated The Miz on the Oct. 17 episode of Main Event to win his fourth Intercontinental Championship. He was able to successfully defend the title against The Miz twice, once at Hell in a Cell (Oct. 28) and on the Nov. 6 episode of SmackDown, and also against Damien Sandow on the Nov. 23 episode of SmackDown. He now looks to add Wade Barrett as another failed challenger to his title.

Wade Barrett suffered a dislocated elbow on the Feb. 20 episode of Monday Night Raw, completely derailing any momentum his career had while he was forced to recover. He returned on the Sept. 7 episode of SmackDown, though, and has been tearing up the WWE roster since. He eventually defeated Kofi on the Nov. 19 episode of Raw in a non-title match to earn the No. 1 Contendership to the Intercontinental title.

What's at stake?

The IC Champion Kingston has held the title for 61 days, and already has a few successful defenses under his belt. Barrett was the man who ended his last run with the title in March, 2011. Another loss would be an embarrassment to "The Wildcat." A win though, and Kofi would be able to vanquish his old nemesis.

For Wade Barrett, this can be the beginning of a new run. He has always had the makings of a star, but has failed to put the pieces together when it matters the most. His sole championship in WWE has been the Intercontinental Championship. Winning the title tonight could relaunch his American career and potentially push him towards the main event. A loss, however, and he is right back to the bottom of the pile.

Will Kofi Kingston continue to prove that he has what it takes to be taken seriously in WWE, or can Wade Barrett once again take the IC Title from his waist? The only way to find out is to watch TLC TONIGHT!

WWE TLC Preview: Rey & Sin Cara vs. Rhode Scholars

No. 1 Contender's Tables Tag Team Match: Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara vs. Team Rhodes Scholars

The masked team of Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara take on the highest quality of homo sapiens in Team Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow) in a No. 1 Contender's Tables Tag Team Match tonight at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.

The road to TLC

Both Mysterio & Sin Cara and Team Rhodes Scholars have been battling each other since the re-ignition of WWE's tag team division. The Rhodes Scholars defeated Mysterio & Sin Cara on the Oct. 22 episode of Monday Night Raw to become the No. 1 Contender's to the Tag Team Championship. They would go on to beat Team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) by disqualification at Hell in a Cell, although the belts did not change hands.

Team Rhodes Scholars did not receive a follow up opportunity against the champions. Cody Rhodes suffered a concussion and a shoulder injury facing Team Hell No, on the Nov. 14 episode of Main Event, forcing Sandow to search for a new apprentice, until Cody' return.

He did not have to look long though, before Cody Rhodes came back on the Dec. 10 episode of Monday Night Raw. That very night, the duo defeated The Usos, The Prime Time Players, and Primo & Epico in a Fatal Fourway Elimination Match to earn the right to reclaim the No 1 Contendership.

However, they have one last hurdle in their way, the team of Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara.

Although it has not been explained how Mysterio & Sin Cara earned their spot in this match, there is no doubt that they are quite deserving. The masked pair look like they have been partners for years, often complimenting each other's moves. They look to avenge their loss to Team Rhodes Scholars prior to Hell in a Cell.

What's at stake?

Team Rhodes Scholars have had one shot at the titles, but failed to take advantage. The road back to contention has not been an easy one. They had to fight their way from the bottom to get back into this position. These are opportunities that are hard to come by, and a loss tonight would place the pair at the bottom of the tag team pile.

For Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara, it is unknown exactly how long these two will have together to work as a single unit. Mysterio is on his last legs and is most likely in the twilight of his career. This could be his last chance to have gold around his waist. His partner Sin Cara, although a fresh mask to WWE, has yet to fully realize his potential. This could lead to his first taste of a title. Or, it could be just another moment of underachievement for the Mexican superstar.

Will the high flying style of Mysterio & Sin Cara be grounded, or will Team Rhodes Scholars suffer the embarrassment of being put through a table? Find out TONIGHT at WWE's TLC!

WWE TLC Preview: Santa's Helper Divas Battle Royal

"Santa's Helper" No. 1 Contender's Diva Battle Royal: Layla vs. Kaitlyn vs. Alicia Fox vs. Natalya vs. Tamina Snuka vs. Aksana vs. Rosa Mendes vs. Cameron vs. Naomi

Nine of WWE's most desirable Divas go at it to be both the No. 1 Contender to the Divas Championship in a "Santa's Helper" battle royal in the TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Pre-Show, streaming LIVE on WWE.com, Facebook, and YouTube.

The road to TLC

Eve Torres won the Divas Championship from Layla at Night of Champions (Sept. 16), becoming the first three-time champion. She has successfully defended her title against Layla and Kaitlyn in a Triple Threat Match at Hell in a Cell (Oct. 28) and one-on-one against Kaitlyn at Survivor Series (Nov. 18).

Now nine challengers to Eve's reign have been selected by WWE to see who will be next in line to chase the strap. Included, are former champions Layla, Natalya, and Alicia Fox, newcomers Kaitlyn and Tamina Snuka, Primo & Epico's valet Rosa Mendes, the Funkadactyls Cameron and Naomi, and finally, Teddy Long's ex-girlfriend Aksana.

What's at stake?

Being the Divas Champion means being the face of the fairer division. It is a perk that Eve enjoys, and many other Divas are desperate to obtain. For Layla, Natalya, and Fox, this is a chance to reclaim the purple butterfly. For the rest of the field, it is a window to taste gold for the first time. With practically every Diva WWE has on the roster in this match, now is when each and every one of them must reach down and show what they have. Winning a grueling match such as a "Santa's Helper" Battle Royal is what separates the women from the girls.

Which of WWE's finest competitors will emerge as the No. 1 Contender to the Divas Championship? You have to watch all the Christmas-flavored action TONIGHT on the TLC Pre-Show!
