WWE has made a change to its free live pre-show at this weekend's TLC pay-per-view in Brooklyn, as AJ Lee has been removed from the Divas battle royal. Cameron and Naomi have also been added in.
Just days ago, WWE announced its free live pre-show at TLC this Sun., Dec. 16, 2012, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, would feature a "Santa's Helper" number one contender Diva's battle royal. The participants announced at that time were Alicia Fox, Layla, Natalya, Kaitlyn, AJ Lee, Rosa Mendes, Aksana, and Tamina Snuka.
As is the norm for WWE, that's now changed with no real announcement to accompany the switch.
Instead of eight Divas, there will now be nine. But not before subtracting one and adding two, as AJ Lee has been removed from the match and replaced by Brodus Clay's funkateers, Cameron and Naomi.
WWE's fiercest females will light up Brooklyn, N.Y.'s Barclays Center like a tree in Rockefeller Center in the prelude to this Sunday's pay-per-view. The Pre-Show will stream live on WWE.com, YouTube.com/WWE and Facebook.com/WWE starting at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT. Among the Divas gunning for Eve's butterfly-emblazoned title are former champions Alicia Fox, Layla and Natalya, as well as Kaitlyn, Tamina Snuka, Rosa Mendes, Aksana, Cameron and Naomi.
No announcement has been made regarding what AJ will be doing at TLC but this frees her up to continue her angle with John Cena, likely further fueling speculation that she could be the one who will cost Cena his match against Dolph Ziggler.
