Although it was announced via Wade Barrett under his breath during commentary of a Kofi Kingston match on Monday Night Raw, the match between the two at TLC on Dec. 16 in Brooklyn is official nonetheless.
Kofi Kingston worked a match against Tensai on tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in Lafayette, Louisiana. During that match, Wade Barrett was out on commentary to scout the Intercontinental champion for their upcoming match.
Almost under his breath, Barrett announced that the two will officially square off with the belt on the line at the TLC pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Dec. 16, 2012, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
They've been feuding for a couple weeks now and it was obviously leading to this. What remains to be seen is whether WWE will pull the trigger on actually giving Barrett come gold since his return from injury hasn't yielded the big results they surely anticipated.
We shall see.
