Local advertisements in the New York area are out for the upcoming WWE TLC pay-per-view (PPV) on Dec. 16, 2012, in Brooklyn have three matches planned for the event, though nothing has officially been announced.
Although WWE has yet to officially announce any matches for the upcoming TLC pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Dec. 16, 2012, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, advertisements have run locally that show the big three matches planned for the show.
And while the card is always subject to change, this is the general direction they were headed:
- CM Punk vs. Ryback in a tables match
Yet another match where Punk will win and Ryback will have to lose but keep his heat. The problem is you can't keep booking like that or no one will take anyone seriously. At some point guys need to win and lose legitimately or match results will never ever matter. Some would argue that's already the case but the WWE creative brain trust aren't good enough storytellers to make up for it. Whatever. This is the last PPV before the big one, so it's fine.
- Big Show vs. Sheamus in a chairs match
No surprise here and as I've mentioned a few times before, they won't make me care about the match until after it's over and I realize how good it was.
- John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler in a tables, ladders and chairs match
No, Cena isn't really hurt, and a match like this would be suicide if he was. What's more interesting is whether or not WWE will let Ziggler get the win here to continue building him up or if they feel the need to have Cena overcome his worked injury and beat the odds once again. I would obviously prefer the former but feel far more strongly WWE goes with the latter. Pooey.
That's how the card looks for now. Easy pickings in the Pay-Per-View Pick 'Em Game from the looks of it, no?
