WWE Survivor Series results: CM Punk pins John Cena after Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns run in on Ryback

Ed Webster

CM Punk retained the WWE championship at Survivor Series tonight (Nov. 18, 2012) in Indianapolis by pinning John Cena, something he was able to do thanks to some help from Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns taking out Ryback.

CM Punk went into Survivor Series tonight (Sun., Nov. 18, 2012) at the Bankers Life Feildhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, having to defend his WWE championship against both Ryback and John Cena in a triple threat match.

How would he possibly pull it off?

By having three men wearing all black suddenly come running in from the crowd to destroy Ryback and send him through the Spanish announce table, the second commentary desk he was put through during the match.

Those three men? Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose of NXT.

This came after Ryback had nailed both Punk and Cena with the Shell Shock, so they were incapacitated. Punk used the assistance to crawl over to Cena to get the pin to retain his WWE championship.

As expected.

Still, Ambrose, Reigns and Rollins are here but are they here to stay? They bailed back through the crowd after doing their damage, never once acknowledging either Punk or Paul Heyman.

Stay tuned. Monday Night Raw tomorrow night should be interesting indeed.
