WWE Friday Night SmackDown comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Feb. 14, 2014) from Ontario, California, with a taped show on the SyFy channel featuring all the latest build to the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV) later this month in Minneapolis.
Because SmackDown is a taped show, you can simply go read the spoilers to know everything that happens (find them by clicking here). That means there isn't much need for a live blog, though we'll be sure to deliver results and updates as they hit the air.
You can use this space to discuss all the events as they occur, however, and it's probably going to enhance your viewing experience. In fact, I know it is because we're a lot of fun around here.
Enjoy the show!

RESULTS AND LIVE UPDATES
- The Shield def. Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, and Christian after a wildly entertaining opening match. Well booked, incredibly well executed, and ridiculously over with the crowd. The finish saw Sheamus accidentally lay out Christian with the Brogue Kick amid chaos before he got speared out of the way by Roman Reigns, giving Dean Ambrose time to pin Christian.
- Zeb Colter lobbied with Vickie Guerrero for Jack Swagger to get a title shot of some sort and she put him in a fatal four-way match with Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, and Mark Henry.
- Cesaro interview pushing the fact that no one believes in him as a true title challenger but he'll prove that wrong in his match with Randy Orton tonight. Good angle for the match coming later in the evening, both for tonight and if they decide to push him as a bigger singles star.
- Jack Swagger def. Kingston, Mysterio, and Henry in the ensuing match and, in a delightful surprise, they had a hell of an entertaining showcase. Swagger tapped Kingston with the Patriot Act. Like the six-man earlier in the night, this was put together well with strong execution from each performer.
- The Usos & Rhodes Brothers def. New Age Outlaws & Rybaxel in another good match, though not as good as the couple that came before it. Still, they've had a lot of bodies in the ring for each match tonight and it's worked out well every time. One of the Usos got the pin on Road Dogg and the announcers pushed that it's time to give The Usos a title shot.
- Randy Orton tells us in his interview that he's going to even his record against him Elimination Chamber opponents tonight by defeating Cesaro. He'll do so because he's going back to being "The Viper" in a desperate bid to please The Authority before they abandon him for Batista.
- Darren Young def. Damien Sandow in a glorified squash match that was really done to give Titus O'Neil a chance to do commentary. He really shines in that role and WWE should use him there more often. He attacked Young after his win but ended up getting taken down, hit in the head, and had his pants ripped off. Yep.
- The Miz def. Fandango thanks to Emma and Santino Marella coming out and causing a distraction. There was actually a brief physical confrontation between Emma and Summer Rae which consisted of the latter pushing the former and the former taking the latter down and pummeling her.
- Cesaro def. Randy Orton in an very good match. Cesaro went over really big here with the announcers pushing hard that it was the biggest win of his career and he's a real threat to the title at Elimination Chamber now. Orton really put Cesaro over in a big way. The finish saw Cesaro hit a sunset flip powerbomb from the ropes, a spinning uppercut, then the Neutralizer before pinning Orton clean in the middle of the ring. Maybe not a star-making turn considering where and when it happened but really great nonetheless.
