WWE SmackDown returns to SyFy this coming Friday night (May 3, 2013) from Detroit, Michigan but the show was taped, as usual, on Tuesday night (Apr. 30). That means full spoilers are readily available, if you're the impatient type who doesn't want to wait a couple days for the payoff.
Unwrap that present early (via prowrestling.net):
-- Ryback kicks off this episode with an in ring promo. Many in the crowd will chant Feed Me More, yet others will adamantly boo him.
-- Ryback vs. Daniel Bryan: The Big Hungry defeats Daniel Bryan in 14:00, via the Shellshocked. D-Bry helps elevate the match to a decent rating, despite having to work with Ryback.
-- Renee Young interviews Ricardo Rodriguez, who speaks rapid Spanish. Alberto Del Rio calms him down.
-- Fandango vs. Zack Ryder: The dancing pop icon defeats Zack Ryder in 3:00, via the top rope leg drop. The crowd attempts to Fandango, but it won't get over all that well.
-- Ricardo Rodriguez vs. Zeb Colter: The match ends in a no-contest, via outside interference from Jack Swagger. Dolph Ziggler assists on commentary with AJ Lee and Big E Langston nearby. Alberto Del Rio clears Swagger out of the ring. Just then, Teddy Long comes out to make a tag team match.
-- Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez vs. Jack Swagger & Zeb Colter: The latest version of this tag match ends in a no-contest, but this time due to outside interference from Ziggler and Big E. So, then Teddy comes out to make it a Triple Threat tag team match.
-- Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez vs. Jack Swagger & Zeb Colter vs. Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston in a Triple Threat tag match: Del Rio & Rodriguez defeat Swagger/Colter & Ziggler/Langston via Del Rio getting Ziggler to tap to the Cross Armbreaker.
-- The Shield will beat up Daniel Bryan backstage, prior to cutting a promo. Kane will indicate that they will pay later.
-- Randy Orton vs. Damien Sandow: The Viper defeats Sandow in 8:00, via an RKO. Post-match, Big Show will make an appearance, in order to let Orton know he's not a team player, and he's the reason they lost their WrestleMania XXIX match. Sandow will take this moment to hit the Apex Predator from behind with his finisher while Big Show looks on and laughs at his expense.
-- There will also be an arm wrestling contest between Mark Henry and Sheamus. Mark Henry will win the first match. Sheamus then gets on the mic and says Mark has the stronger right arm, but he doesn't have the stronger left. They will go at again, this time with their left arms of course, and Sheamus will then punch Henry in the face and Brogue kick him.
-- Dean Ambrose vs. Kane: The leader of The Shield will defeat Kane in 13:00. Kane however does give a beat down to all of the members of Shield, throwing Reigns into the announce table prior to the start of the match. The match itself will be somewhat of a back and forth affair with Kane hitting the chokeslam and attempting the tombstone. The Shield interferes so Ambrose can get the pin, using a finisher similar to MVP's Playmaker.
-- Post-match, The Shield will then go on to attack Kane as a united force. Kane will put up a good fight, but Roman Reigns will Spear him just before they Triple PowerBomb him. The Shield will then grab the Tag Titles (presumably also taking D-Bry's earlier in the night when they attack him) in order to pose with them as an epic conclusion to the night.
IN THE DARK MATCH:
-- Sheamus & Randy Orton vs. Big Show & Mark Henry (yes, again). Sheamus & Orton will win via Brogue Kick/RKO combo to send the crowd home happy.
