WWE hit Biloxi, Miss, to tape "SmackDown" last night (Feb. 19, 2013), and we've got complete spoilers for the show, featuring the fallout show to the "Elimination Chamber" pay-per-view this past Sunday night in NOLA.
WWE SmackDown returns to the SyFy channel this coming Friday night (Feb. 22, 2013) from Biloxi, Mississippi, but the show was taped, as usual, on Tuesday night. That means full spoilers are readily available, if you're the impatient type who doesn't want to wait a couple days for the payoff.
Unwrap that present early (via PWTorch.com):
-- The WHC Alberto Del Rio opened the show with a promo about Jack Swagger. Orton, however, interjected, stating that, after what happened at EC this past weekend, he fully intends to take his shot at Swagger first. Booker T of course comes out and grants Orton's wish. He also declares this to be Champion v Champion match time and informs Del Rio he will be facing IC champ Wade Barrett instead.
-- Sheamus def. Damien Sandow via Brogue Kick, in what was reportedly a "competitive match" between the two.
-- Diva's Champion Kaityln with Layla def. Tamina & Aksona when Kaitlyn apparently speared Tamina to bolster her stock after dominating the challenger during her Diva's title match this past weekend.
-- Jack Swagger with his xenophobic sidekick Zeb Colter, def. Randy Orton via a "roll-up with his feet on the ropes" in what was perceived to be an excellent match, wherein Swagger was able to impress.
-- The Miz def. Cody Rhodes via tap-out to the Figure Four (again) and don't worry, apparently he applied it properly, he seems to have worked out the kinks in his technique finally. In what is an AWWWESOOOME move on someone's part, The Miz continues to appear to have an injured shoulder.
-- WHC Alberto Del Rio def. IC Champion Wade Barrett via submission with the arm-breaker. In what was reminiscent of last week's go home show, Del Rio shared a final staredown with Swagger to continue the build on this brewing socio-political themed feud.
-- Post-Show BONUS: Big Show made an appearance interrupting ADR's after party, to state their match will be a Street Fight.
-- Dark Match: WHC ADR def. Big Show in their Street Fight match by plowing Show, with the aid of his loyal sidekick Rodriguez, into a table in order to actually retain the World title.
There's the show, Cagesiders. How you digging the sound of it?
