WWE reporting Daniel Bryan suffered shoulder injury on Raw

WWE.com

Thanks, Triple H! (But not really.)

The main event angle on last night's (Mar. 17, 2014) episode of Monday Night Raw in San Antonio, Texas, featured Daniel Bryan getting handcuffed by fake policeman and suffering through an extended beat down at the hands of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Now, WWE.com is telling us he's got an injured shoulder because of it.

From the report:

WWE medical sources confirm that, as a result of the COO's attack, Bryan's previous shoulder injury stemming from several matches with several Superstars was severely exasperated, including a dislocation and potential ligament tears. The level of damage cannot be determined until the swelling reduces, though Bryan has since left the hospital and will receive an MRI once that swelling has gone down.

This is, of course, kayfabe but it's smartly done as a tool to advance the storyline that Triple H is a dastardly heel and Bryan will have that much more to overcome in the match between the two at WrestleMania 30 on Sun., April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Not to mention, there were fans on this very site cringing while watching Triple H throw Bryan around with his hands cuffed behind his back wondering if it was such a good idea risking the health of a wrestler who will be counted on heavily to carry the day at the biggest show of the year.

Why not play off those concerns?
