The celebrity guest host era of Monday Night Raw was forgettable at best and downright annoying at worst but it was usually good for a bump in the ratings. That has proven true with Betty White's showing on last night's (Feb. 10, 2014) episode from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
The viewership numbers for Raw went up, although not by much, averaging 4.32 million viewers compared to the 4.20 the show averaged last week. It should be noted that the Winter Olympics are providing competition WWE isn't used to facing around this time.
Here's the hourly breakdown:
Hour one: 4.50 million
Hour two: 4.34 million
Hour three: 4.15 million
That's a typical pattern these days, and about what could be expected from last night's offering. Things get interesting next week, what with it representing the go home show to the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV), and the week after, which will feature two big returns (Hulk Hogan and Undertaker) and act as the lead in to the WWE Network launch.
Business is about to pick up, folks.
