Although the company has yet to address as much on its website or various social media pages, WWE has confirmed to several outlets that Daniel Bryan suffered a concussion at some point during last night's (Jan. 13, 2014) episode of Monday Night Raw from Providence, Rhode Island.
Apparently there was word circulating earlier today that Bryan couldn't remember the cage match he participated in against The Usos teaming with Bray Wyatt. It's at least possible that it's serious even as far as concussions go.
That's not good, considering WWE made the decision to turn him back babyface on that Raw after an amazing amount of mainstream press and it was as well received as some of the biggest stars of the oft sought after Attitude Era. We're talking over like Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Because WWE has yet to acknowledge the injury, there's no telling how long Bryan will be on the shelf. This could ruin any big plans the promotion may have had for him, including going all out and booking him to win the Royal Rumble like some think should happen.
Stay tuned for any updates on his condition, though he seemed to be in good spirits today based on his Twitter account.
