Tonight's (Aug. 12, 2013) episode of Monday Night Raw emanates from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California, and represents the go home show to the SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for this Sunday night in Los Angeles, California.
And "The Beast" is in the building.
Indeed, Brock Lesnar was advertised for the show as far back as one month ago but sometime along the way, he was pulled from advertising and the thought was that he may not make it out, despite the importance of the show.
That may sound silly but consider the fact that he damn near gets to make his own schedule and appears in segments that oftentimes last upwards of three minutes and feature his having to stand there and look tough, or do a bit of brawling. So if he wanted the night off, it's not out of line to think he would have gotten it.
According to a report from PW Insider, however, that won't be the case. Apparently, Lesnar is backstage at the arena and if that's the case, you can bet he'll be on television tonight promoting his match against CM Punk at SummerSlam this weekend.
I'm sure he'll be the one to prevent the Punk vs. Paul Heyman match that has been advertised but almost assuredly won't take place.
Stay tuned, Cagesiders, and remember to follow along with all the action with the Raw live blog right here.
