Advertised for the show is a match pitting Paul Heyman vs. CM Punk.

Come right back here at 8 p.m. ET when the Raw live blog kicks off once the show starts on USA. It will be below this line here.

Rex here. Time to mark out with out snark out.

Daniel Bryan is starting things off tonight.  YES! YES! YES!

He is going to be in a match up with Wade Barrett and the Raw GM Brad Maddox will be the special referee.

Daniel Bryan vs Wade Barrett

Wade Barrett picked up the victory due to the machinations of Maddox.  After largely dominating the short contest, Bryan missed with a kick and Barett got the roll up win due to a quick count from Maddox.

Bryan tries to go after Maddox but Maddox quickly escapes to the back.

Damien Sandow is out with his new MITB briefcase and he handcuffs it to the ringpost due to Rhodes being on commentary.  Sandow will be facing off with the other MITB hold- Randy Orton.

Damien Sandow vs Randy Orton

In a highly entertaining and very hot match, Orton took the victory as he hit the RKO on a distracted Sandow.  Rhodes was the cause of the distraction as he left commentary and just stood at ringside arguing with Sandow.

Excellent handicam promo from the Shield. Rollins and Reigns issue an open challenge for Summer Slam and Ambrose has the line of the evening so far in reference to the Number One Contenders Battle Royale

"If Andre the Giants ghost isn`t in this battle royal tonight, then I'm not losing this title"

Hype video featuring Lesnar and it was fantastic.  Lots of good lines from the Beast.

After the video, Punk is in the back and gives his response.  Normal talking points from Punk.

Big E and AJ vs Great Khali and Natalya

Entertaining little picture in picture promo from Big E about how Ziggler will be demolished.

It was entirely AJ and Natalya.  AJ tapped to the Sharshooter twice.  Something went wrong and the match wasn't ended with the first tap out so they redid it.

Vince McMahon is out and he demands Maddox come to the ring for an explanation of what happened early.

Maddox convinces Vince to make him the ref for the Summer Slam main event.  As he is doing so, HHH makes his way down.

HHH and McMahon have an entertaining back and forth before HHH makes himself the ref for the match and gives Maddox a Pedigree.

Kane vs Titus O'Neil

Doesn't last long as out comes Wyatt.  Wyatt with his entrance and when the lights come up, Kane isn't in the ring for Rowan and Harper to jump.

Kane is at the entrance and hits his pyro as the two maniacs stare each other down from afar.

Bellas in the back and they talk some Total Divas and their stuff with Natalya last week.

Natalya comes in and challenges Brie to a match at Summer Slam.

Eva Marie is there and then the Funkadatcyls come in.

All very convoluted.

Brie then slaps Nattie.

Kofi Kingston vs Alberto Del Rio

In a highly entertaining bout, Del Rio is able to secure victory with the Arm Bar.  Kingston was really impressive throughout the match.

Christian highlight package and then he is interviewed by Renee Young in the back.  He says that he will prove that all he never needed was One More Match.

ADR comes in and laughs at Christian.

Colter is trashing Sacramento for avacadoes, lattes, and hybrids.  He then talks about how California quaking off into the ocean would be the greatest thing in the history of mankind.

Real Americans vs Usos

In a extremely entertaining match, The Usos take the win over the Real Americans.  Everyone in the match up was very solid as they all have good chemsitry together.

Miz TV with Daniel Bryan and John Cena.

The segment quickly turns into both Cena and Bryan turning on the Miz and harassing him.

Cena says that Bryan will put up a hell of a fight and Bryan doesn't take it well.  He is tired of people saying that is all he can do.  Cena tries to say something but Bryan says he better not interrupt him.

Bryan takes a shot at Cena's mixed reaction and then calls him more style than substance.  "Not in it for the wrestling"

Cena talks some stuff about the fans and the message that his merchandise sends. He brings it back on track and talks about all of his critics and says Bryan is just another one (including mentioning five moves of doom).  He talks about his charity work and then talks about his message.  He is on fire as he talks about everything he means to the WWE and then says that Bryan isn't on the level of his past opponents yet.

Bryan says that Cena can't understand that its the biggest match in Bryan's life.  He says he would do a Japanese tradition of slapping each other but Bryan says Cena doesn't deserve it because he isn't a wrestler.

Cena slaps Bryan and Bryan just licks his lips and doesn't do it back.

HHH and Orton come out for no reason as the segment ends.

20 Man Battle Royale for United States Championship Number One Contendership

In a fun Battle Royale (what Battle Royale isn't fun?) RVD snatched victory away from Mark Henry to earn a shot at Dean Ambrose's title.

After the match, Henry shakes RVD's hand and starts to walk off as Shield's music hits.  As they surrond the ring, Big Show makes his return and the Shield decides to retreat.

Heyman is out in a vest with his hands wrapped up.  He says he is going to take Punk from us because we took Punk from Heyman.

He says that of course it is a trap but we aren't creative enough to be on his level.  He says it is a conspiracy and the fellow conspirator was Brock Lesnar- his best friend in the world.

After a recap, Heyman says that Punk's need to be the hero will be his downfall.

Heyman says the trap is that he is willing to fight Punk in this ring if he comes down and fights him and Lesnar.

Punk's music hits and Punk comes out from the crowd and attacks Lesnar from behind with a camera!

Suicide Dive!

Punk gets hold of a chair and destroys Lesnar with it.  He heads towards Heyman but Axel with the interference.

Punk with a chairshot to Axel and a GTS on the ramp to close the show.
