WWE Raw results and live blog for May 6: Brock Lesnar returns


Complete results and a running live blog for tonight's (May 6, 2013) episode of Monday Night Raw from the Roanoke Civic Center in Roanoke, Virginia, featuring the return of Brock Lesnar.

WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (May 6, 2013) from the Roanoke Civic Center in Roanoke, Virginia, featuring the return of Brock Lesnar to keep his feud going with Triple H leading into the Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) in just a couple short weeks.

Plus, John Cena and Ryback continue their program while Chris Jericho is expected back to do something that will probably be more entertaining than anyone mentioned prior.

The pre-show hype video let's us know that Lesnar and Heyman invaded WWE headquarters today.

John Cena is starting off the show this evening.

Cena says some stuff about Daniel Bryan and uses YES chants to talk about how nothing will stop him from facing Ryback.

He starts rambling some more, frankly it's not very good.

Vickie finally interrupts him.

She reminds us that Extreme Rules is in fact EXTREME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She reminds us of the other matches already booked and wants the Cena and Ryback's opinion on the stipulation.

Ryback comes out to the ring. Vickie gives Cena the first input.

Cena starts cracking jokes on Ryback and then does a pretty decent impression of Ryback.

Cena doesn't care what the stipulation is.

Ryback calls stupid for yielding the choice to him. Cena steps up to Ryback and says it hurt but he is ready to go.

Ryback says that the real achilles heel of Cena is his pride.

Ryback chooses a Last Man Standing Match for Extreme Rules.


Damien Sandow vs Randy Orton

Orton with the jobber entrance and Sandow gets a singing entrance and riffs on Orton's entrance music.

This is glorious. I would buy a Sandow album.

Bell rings and Orton comes out strong.

Orton tosses Sandow to the outside and continues the assault.

He tries to hit draping DDT off the apron but Sandow counters and plows Orton into the barrier.

They make their way back to the ring and Orton retakes control.

Punches in the corner for Orton,

Orton with stomps to the knees of Sandow and then grinds his boot into Sandow's face.

Dropkick from Orton as we head to break.

Back from break and Sandow is hitting the Russian leg sweep and then the elbow of disdain.

Sandow works some locks in and then Orton takes control with a huge drop kick counter.

Draping DDT leads to the RKO and the win for Orton.

Orton wins by pinfall.

As Orton is about to get back stage, Orton was knocked out by Big Show.


Y2J is in the house!

Jericho has put together a panel to judge Fandango's dancing and wrestling.

Tons of Funk will be joining Jericho on the panel.

Fandango makes his entrance with his original dancer. No Summer Rae.

The judges don't give him good scores.

"Who are you to judge me? Just because you were on dancing with the stars and failed" -Fandango

Fandango vs R-Truth

Fandango with the early offense but Truth takes control with some kicks.

Truth with a slam and follows up with a scissor kick.

Fandango rolls out of the ring to buy himself some time.

Truth takes the time to bust out some dance moves of his own.

The judges gave him great scores, so Fandango decides to leave.

R-Truths wins by count out.


Daniel Bryan in the back with Matthews. He says that no one is buying the Shield's talk about justice.

He say that he is going to challenge The Ryback to a rematch to show that their beatdown wasn't effective.

Ryback appears and says he won't accept the challenge.

Kane makes an appearance and challenges Ryback to a match.

Ryback says he isn't the monster that he used to be.


Dolph Ziggler vs Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio with a hip toss to open things up.

Ziggler fights his way out and hits that beautiful drop kick of his.

Ziggler with a splash in the corner.

Del Rio counters Ziggler's follow up and hits an enziguiri in the corner.

Suplex attempt from Del Rio is countered by Ziggler, who hits one of his own.

Ziggler gets tied up in the rope and takes some forearms to the back before a back stabber.

Swagger's music hits and he and Colter make their way down to the ring.

Stare down with Big E Langston before the head to the announcing table as we head to break.

Back from break and Del Rio is working his way back into control.

Del Rio dodges a dropkick but gets hit with a follow up dropkick.

Series of elbow drops from Ziggler.

Del Rio with the back body drop.

"He wouldn't have done that to Jack Swagger. He would have countered him." -Zeb

Del Rio misses with an enziguiri but seems to hit him with it during the fall as Ziggler is diving.

Del Rio crotches Ziggler when he goes up top.

He follows him up and hits a inverted suplex from the top.

Ziggler and Del Rio recover and start trading strikes.

Ziggler with a neck breaker but misses with a splash in the corner.

Del Rio with clotheslines and a tilt a whirl back breaker.

Superkick from Del Rio for a nearfall.

Del Rio and Ziggler with some chain wrestling that leads to Del Rio locking in the Arm Bar.

AJ with the distraction and Big E drags Del Rio out of the ring and throws him into Swagger.

Ref calls the match.

Del Rio wins by dq.

Swagger recovers and tosses Big E into the ring post before assaulting Del Rio.

He goes under the ring and gets a ladder. Ricardo jumps on his back to try and stop him but he gets tossed by Swagger and hit with the ladder.

He lays out Ziggler and Del Rio with the ladder.


Kaitlyn in the back with the Funkadactyls and her mystery suitor texts her.

They say he is probably a stalker and will lock her in the basement.

Natty comes and asks more about him. Kaitlyn reads the text and it's the "I Choo Choo Chooose you" quote from the simpsons.

Natty decides to get Khali to go undercover to find out who it is.

After they all leave, the Bellas come out from behind the curtain.


Shield vs Usos and Kofi Kingston

Ambrose and one of the Usos starting things off.

Ambrose takes early control and works some punches to Uso.

He gets a tag into Jay and they hit a double team move on Ambrose.

Rollins makes the save from the top rope and then tags in.

Quick offense from Rollins before tagging in Reigns.

Reigns with some slams to his distant cousin before tagging in Rollins.

Rollins with some strikes in the corner and then tags in Ambrose.

Ambrose continues the assault in the corner and then tags in Reigns.

Reigns with some big strikes and slams before tagging in Rollins.

Rollins works a headlock on Jay and then hits a scoop slam to prevent Jay from getting the tag.

Rollins then knocks the other Uso offer the apron.

Jay hits the Samoan drop and both men are down.

They both get the tag in to Kofi and Ambrose respectively.

Kofi with some early strikes but Ambrose stops his momentum briefly.

Kofi with the Boom Drop and readies the Trouble in Paradise.

Ambrose backs up and dodges a Kofi splash.

Kofi with his corner kick and then hits a splash off the top rope.

Reigns breaks up the pin and then lays out the Usos on the outside.

Kofi goes up top again and Rollins knocks him off.

Ambrose with the headlock driver for the win.

The Shield wins by pinfall.


Antonio Cesaro vs Zack Ryder

Cesaro with the early takedown and then a power slam.

Cesaro with punches to the gut in the corner and then a beautiful suplex.

Chin lock from Cesaro.

Ryder tries to rally but Cesaro hits Swiss Death.

Neutralizer from Cesaro for the win.

Cesaro wins by pinfall.

Cesaro has the mic and says he has something important to say.

"Is that it. Is that all the competition you've got for me. If so, it is ridiculous"

He calls out the entire roster, including NXT.


Heyman with us via satellite.

He shows us the footage of their invasion of Headquarters.

He complains about Sheamus being on the poster and shows us the Andre the Giant tribute in the lobby.

In the elevator Heyman starts whistling the Fandango theme song.

On the way to HHH's office he stares down a poster of the Rock.

Heyman points out that there is no posters of Lesnar in the hallway.

They confront his assistants and then barge into the office of Paul Levesque.

He has a sledgehammer on the wall apparently.

Lesnar wraps the title belt in the office and kicks his feat up on HHH's desk.

Lesnar starts tossing stuff around and then grabs the sledge on the wall and destroys the desk.

The sledge ends up breaking and he starts tossing furniture into the wall.

Heyman leaves a business card as they leave.

Back to Heyman via satellite and he says that he is the voice of reason for Lesnar.

Heyman isn't going to be that anymore because HHH hit him with a pedigree as he holds up the destroyed title from HHH's office.

He is going to encourage Lesnar to utterly destroy HHH.

HHH's music hits and he makes his way out to the ring.

Cool shot of him walking down the ramp as Heyman rolls his eyes.

HHH makes a crack about Heyman's hair and then talks about that he knows extreme.

HHH doesn't care that they tore up one of his offices. His other office is the ring.

HHH says that Lesnar should say whatever he has to in person and to his face.

He pauses for a HHH chant that breaks out.

He says that in this office they fight back.


Funkadactlys and Kaitlyn vs Bellas and AJ

AJ and Cameron start things off.

Head slam and two neckbreakers from AJ.

Headlock from AJ and Cameron fights out but gets clotheslined by AJ.

Cross body from Cameron and she gets the tag in Kaitlyn.

AJ pleads with Kaitlyn and then slaps her.

AJ tries to tag the Bellas but they refuse.

Kaitlyn with the spear and gets the win.

Kaitlyn and Funkadactyls win by pinfall.


Henry in the ring and on the mic. He starts ragging on the crowd and calls them all a bunch of puppets.

He talks some more trash on Sheamus and says it has been a while since he got extreme. He can't wait for ER.

Sheamus comes out and shows clips of the various strength competitions.

They bicker some more and are about to come to blows when Barrett makes his way out. Apparently he has a match with Sheamus when we come back from break.


Sheamus vs Wade Barrett

Back from break and the match is in progress. Mark Henry is on commentary.

Henry mouthing off to Cole is more entertaining than the match.

Sheamus teases throwing Barrett into Henry which causes him to fall out of his chair. He ends up brogue kicking him.

Back in the ring and Sheamus is in control and goes for White Noise.

Barrett counters and then dodges a Brogue Kick.

Barrett with a forearm and kick to Sheamus' head.

Sheamus takes back control and hits his forearm spot.

White Noise and then Brogue Kick for the win.

Sheamus wins by pinfall.

Henry attack Sheamus post match and starts whipping him with a belt while yelling at him.

Henry with the World's Strongest Slam on the outside.

Henry beating on Sheamus was really satisfying.


Kane vs The Ryback

Kane opens up with a power slam.

Ryback with a kick and then clotheslines Kane over the ropes.

Kane snatches a leg and drags him out.

Ryback tosses Kane into the barrier as we head to break.

Back from break and we are in the ring.

Ryback with a Thesz Press.

Kane with some big shots but Ryback hits a spinebuster.

Ryback tries for his finisher but Kane counters with a suplex.

Kane goes up top but Ryback meets him up there.

Kane is able to punch him off but Ryback is able to crotch Kane.

Ryback gets Shellshock and gets the victory.

Ryback wins by pinfall.

Shield makes their way through the audience.

Daniel Bryan comes to the ring to protect Kane and Ryback bails from the ring.

Cena has hit the ring now. Ryback pulls Kane out from the ring.

Ryback joins them and seems like he is there to help but hits Cena with the chair as he is going after Reigns.

Ryback stands over Cena as we head to break.
