WWE Raw results and live blog for March 11: Brock Lesnar returns to answer Triple H's challenge


Complete results and the running live blog for tonight's (March 11, 2013) episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, featuring the return of Brock Lesnar to answer Triple H's challenge for a match at WrestleMania 29.

WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (March 11, 2013) from Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, featuring the return of Brock Lesnar to answer the challenge laid down by Triple H last week for a match at WrestleMania 29.

Plus, Undertaker will be back on the show for the first time since the unfortunate and untimely death of his former manager, Paul Bearer. No word yet on any plans for a tribute but let's hope WWE does something special with 'Taker involved in a major way.

All that and more.

Raw is starting off with the wonderful Paul Bearer video they released a few days ago.

Ziggler has probably the best "Ohhhh Yessss" impersonation of all time.

Video ends and GONG! GONG! GONG!

Thought they were giving Bearer a ten gong salute but here comes the Undertaker.

They have the urn in the middle of the ring on a small table with felt.

Undertaker poses next to the urn as an In Memoriam displays on the jumbotron. Awesome tribute to Bearer.


Here comes Punk.

Punk says he wants to extend his condolences for Undertaker's loss........at Wrestlemania.

"The silver lining in all this tragedy is that to Paul Bearer, you will always be perfect. To everyone else you will be 20-1"

A big "You Suck" chant comes from the crowd.


Apparently during the break Kane came out and tried to attack Punk. Punk was barely able to get away.

Kane is tearing up the back looking for him.

Big Show vs Seth Rollins

Show opens up with some kicks to Rollins gut.

Rollins goes after Show with some punches but Show just tosses him out of the ring.

Show follows him out and takes out Reigns. That gets Ambrose interfering and the ref rings the bell.

Big Show wins by DQ.

Big Show gets a big boot on Reigns and then drops Rollins.

Show and Ambrose in the ring and Ambrose is just kicking him repeatedly and keeping the big man down.

Show starts to recover but eats a spear from Reigns!

Shield is able to get Big Show up and hits the three man powerbomb! That was impressive.

No one even attempted to come out and help Big Show.


Punk confronts Vickie and Maddox in the back over Kane's attempted attack.

Vickie announces Punk vs Kane in a No DQ Match for tonight.


Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler


Ziggler and Bryan with some chain wrestling to start off.

Ziggler goes for a dropkick but Bryan counters into a surfboard stretch that he transitions into a pin attempt.

Bryan with an uppercut but then he eats a dropkick.

In the corner, Bryan and Ziggler are trading control back and forth.

Bryan hits a running dropkick to take control and starts to work a wristlock on Ziggler.

Bryan continues to work over ZIggler's arm but Big E hops up on the apron to give Bryan pause as we head to break.

Back from break and Ziggler is working a headstand chin lock.

Ziggler goes for a dropkick but Bryan counters and launches him into the corner.

Ziggler tries to whip him into the corner but Bryan does a back flip but eats a big boot after it.

Ziggler goes for a sleeper hold but gets countered into a roll up for a two count.

Bryan starts kicking Ziggler in the chest and then drops him with one to the head for a two count.

Ziggler tries to go up top but gets dropped onto the turnbuckle.

Bryan follows him up and tries to hit a German Suplex from the top but Ziggler counters it into a crossbody!!!

Only gets a two count.

Ziggler and Bryan chain wrestle some more and it ends with Ziggler hitting a Zig Zag for a two count.

Bryan goes for a No Lock but AJ distracts the reg and Big E gets Bryan to break the hold.

Ref back in the match as Ziggler goes for a roll up. Bryan counters into the No Lock but then Ziggler counters and hits a Zig Zag for the win.

Dolph Ziggler wins by pinfall.

After the match, AJ and Dolph make out before AJ gives Big E the signal to hit his finisher on Bryan.


Sweet T (Tensai) vs Faaaaaandaaaaaaaaaangooooooooooooo

Fandango is not pleased that Tensai didn't say his name right and is offended by his dancing.

Fandango wants Naomi to say his name for him to come to the match. He says she is the only one with rythm and talent. Tensai snags the mic from Naomi and tries to call Fandango out so he bails to the back.


Rhode Scholars vs New Age Outlaws

Sandow and Rhodes are doing a reinterpretation of the NAO schtick.

That was amazing.

Outlaws out to the ring now.

They then do their schtick for real.

Bell rings.

Road Dogg and Rhodes start us off.

Dogg takes early control and he goes to hit a downed Rhodes but Sandow interferes.

Rhodes gits a disaster kick and then BROCK LESNAR'S MUSIC HITS!!!!

He hits the ring with Heyman and Billy Gunn tries to fight him off but gets F'5ed!

Road Dogg then eats an F'5!

Heyman on the mic.

Heyman says that LEsnar has just destroyed the remnants of Degenration-X and is taking out everyone around HHH.

Heyman says that Lesnar will accept the match if he gets to pick the stipulation.

He says that HHH disappoints everyone and "if you ain't down with that, I got two words for ya. BROCK LESNAR!"


Mark Henry vs Kofi Kingston

Kingston tries to get some early offense in but it didn't last long.

Henry with a splash in the corner and then locks in a bear hug.

Henry runs Kingston in the corner and goes for a slam. Kingston escapes but eats a huge kick from Henry.

Kingston launches himself off the steps and hits a forearm.

Back in the ring and Kingston goes up top.

Henry catches him in mid-air and hits the World's Strongest Slam for the win.

Mark Henry wins by pinfall.



Cody Rhodes and Kaitlyn in the back.

"I mustache ask you a question?" He has to explain the joke to her.

Sandow interrupts Rhodes trying to work his game on Kaitlyn and says he got them more suitable companions.

Its the Bella Twins!

Kaitlyn is upset and Rhodes seems to pine for her as she walks away. Kaitlyn is a terrible actress.

Vickie enters the scene and says that Rhodes Scholars is having a match later tonight


The Ryback vs Heath Slater

Mark Henry comes out to the top of the ramp.

Slater tries to take advantage but is quickly overwhelmed by Ryback.

Shellshock for the win.

Ryback wins by pinfall.

McIntyre attacks Ryback after the match but eats a Shellshock.

Henry comes down to the ring.

Henry gives a World's Strongest Slam to McIntyre.

Ryback with another Shellshock to McIntyre.

Henry hits another World's Strongest Slam on McIntyre.

Henry and Ryback staring each other down as medical personnel come to check on McIntyre.


Antonio Cesaro vs Alberto Del Rio

Cesaro with early control of the match.

He starts to work various holds while sprinkling in some knees.

Cesaro whips Del Rio into the corner and follows up with a running uppercut.

Cesaro with a two count.

Del Rio starts to make a comeback with clotheslines, tilt a whirl backbreaker, and a superkick.

Backstabber by Del Rio for a two count.

Del Rio off the top rope and Cesaro hits him with an uppercut mid air! Only gets a two count.

Cesaro is not pleased with the ref and argues with him.

It gives Del Rio some time for Del Rio to recover.

As Cesaro grabs Del Rio, he gets caught in the armbar and taps.

Del Rio wins by submission.


Josh Matthews tries to interview Kane. The camera pans out and Kane is holding the urn in his arms and just walks away.


Excellent promo video for Rock-Cena. Interesting because they referenced the divorce.


Rhodes Scholars vs Sheamus and Randy Orton

Sandow and Orton to start things off.

Orton with some quick offense before tagging in Sheamus.

Sheamus working over the arm of Sandow but Sandow fights his way to the corner and tags in Rhodes.

Rhodes gets some licks in before eating an elbow and a rolling senton.

Rhodes eats a kick to the face and Sheamus tries to follow up but Sandow pulls the rope down and sends Sheamus to the outside.

Rhodes distracts the ref as Sandow attacks Sheamus.

Back in the ring and Sandow and Rhodes are utilizing quick tags to keep the pressure on Sheamus.

Sheamus is able to get the tag in to Orton, who takes control of the match against Rhodes.

Orton hits a T-bone suplex and tries for the draping ddt. Sandow saves his partner but eats an elbow from Orton for his trouble.

Rhodes then kicks Orton in the head and brings him back to the ring.

Tags in Sandow, who hits a side russian leg sweep and Elbow of Disdain before tagging Rhodes back in.

Rhodes with some quick offense in before Orton takes back control.

Orton hits a superplex and both men are down.

They each crawl to their respective corners and get the tag in.

Sheamus with his forearm spot to Sandow and then hits White Noise.

Sheamus hits a Brogue Kick on Sandow while Orton hits an RKO on Rhodes.

Sheamus and Orton win by pinfall.


During break the Shield laid out Sheamus and Orton as they headed to the back.


Jericho with the highlight reel.

He shows us a clip of Marine 3 and invites Miz to come out.

They don't get far before Wade Barrett makes his way out.

Barrett pimps his movie and gives a clip of it.

He says he rejected tons of offers from Hollywood because he is too busy being the IC Champ.

Miz and Barrett in a "Really" off.

Miz calls out Barrett for being on a major losing streak.

Barrett and Miz start bickering some more.

Jericho gets involved now and is threatening Barrett to take the title.

Maddox interrupts now and says that they will not act like this on his show.

Maddox blathers on and on for a while before mentioning that we are going to have Jericho vs Miz.


Chris Jericho vs Miz

We come back from break and the match has already started. The winner will get a match with Barrett next week.

Jericho in control and hits Miz with a big boot.

Miz gets some offense in before Jericho takes back control and goes up top to hit a double axe handle.

He tries to follow up but Miz hits a big boot.

He hits a backbreaker but Jericho counters the follow up neck breaker.

Jericho with a running bulldog and tries to follow up with the lionsault but Miz gets his knees up in time.

Jericho goes for the walls but gets reversed into a figure four attempt that gets reversed into another Walls attempt.

Miz with a roll up for a two count but then Jericho locks in the Walls.

After a good struggle, Miz makes it to the rope.

On the outside and Miz tries to tackle Jericho, but Jericho sends Miz into Barrett.

Barrett attacks both men as the ref calls the match.

Miz and Jericho team up on Barrett now.

They hit a Codebreaker/Skull Crushing Finale combo.

Not sure who was actually declared the winner.


Jack Swagger vs Sin Cara

Colter has something to say.

Colter goes after the fact that Sin Cara doesn't speak English and compares him to a Mexican jumping beam.

He calls Sin Cara a thief and compares him to everyone sneaking across the border.

Colter says it is the fault of the fans/general populace because they won't take action.

Match finally starts.

Sin Cara takes early control and sends Swagger to the outside.

Cara goes up to the top rope and hits a cross body to Swagger on the outside.

Back in the ring and Cara tries to hit a Hurricarana. Swagger muscles out of it.

Cara goes up to again but this time eats a big boot on his way down.

Swagger locks in the Patriot Act for the win.

Jack Swagger wins by submission.

Swagger won't let go of the lock. Del Rio runs in to make the save and puts the armbar on Swagger but Colter is able to drag Swagger out of the ring.


The run a vignette of Halle Berry doing press and Otunga calls her up to warn her that someone threatened him with violence for her cell phone. He gets off the phone.

Halle gets another call. BAH GAWD ITS KANE!!!!

Kane is upset that Halle never wrote back to any of his fan mail. She says its because the return address was the depths of hell. Kane responds that it is like writing to Santa Clause but the opposite.

Halle shuts Kane down when he brings up going on a picnic.

She then sets off his pyro.


CM Punk vs Kane in a No Disqualification Match

Punk doesn't let Kane make it to the ring before going after him.

Kane recovers and is taking it to Punk.

After some huge punches, Kane drops Punk on the barricade and then slams his head into the ring post.

Kane has thrown Punk into the timekeepers area and breaks down the announcer table.

Punk hits Kane with the ringbell and the hits a double axe handle from the barricade.

Kane nails Punk with a monitor and drapes him on the apron to hit him with multiple elbows.

Kane drags Punk into the ring and wants a superplex.

Punk fights him off with an eye rake and an elbow drop.

Punk with a running knee to Kane and we head to break in the overrun.

Back from break and Punk is in control with a forearm off the tope rope.

He sets up a chair in the corner and starts punching Kane.

Punk tries to whip Kane into the corner but Kane counters and does it himself.

Kane sends Punk to the outside and continues the assault. He starts tossing chairs into the ring and drag Punks back in.

Kane tries for a chokeslam onto a chair but Punk reverses into a ddt. Punk starts hitting Kane with a chair and Kane tries for a chokeslam again but gets kicked.

Punk gets ready for the GTS but a gong sounds.

The distraction allows for Kane to hit a chokeslam for the win.

Kane wins by pinfall.

Undertaker comes out and both he and Kane pose. While they are posing Punk strikes Kane in the back of the head with the urn! He continues to hit Kane with the urn as Taker tries to make his way to the ring.

Punk bails with the urn and strikes the Undertaker pose with it at the top of the ramp.

Taker gives him the throat slash with the Wrestlemania sign looming behind him as we fade to black.
