WWE wasted no time booking a major match to kick off tonight's (Feb. 18, 2013) episode of Monday Night Raw, as John Cena has agreed to put his WrestleMania 29 main event WWE title shot on the line against CM Punk next week.

As pro wrestling fans wonder if WWE will find a way to book CM Punk into the main event of WrestleMania 29 on April 7, 2013, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, making the planned Rock vs. John Cena match a triple threat, tonight's (Feb. 18, 2013) episode of Monday Night Raw gave us a peek at the direction.

In the opening segment of the show, Punk interrupted a Cena promo and a match between the two was agreed upon for next week's Raw with Cena putting his WWE championship match against Rock at "The Grand Daddy of Them All" on the line.

This was booked really well, considering Punk has a legitimate claim to have defeated Rock at Elimination Chamber last night were it not for a referee bump and Cena still has yet to defeat Punk clean in a match. That's without mentioning he hasn't beaten Rock, so WWE essentially acknowledged every issue any fan could have with how these interconnected storylines have played out and made a match out of it.

Can we ask for much more?

This could be leaving the door open for a triple threat match at WrestleMania but it still seems likely Cena will win next week and move on to rematch Rock.

Thoughts?
