Video: The last time The Rock met CM Punk on Monday Night Raw

Just a video reminder of the last time The Rock and CM Punk had an encounter on WWE's Monday Night Raw, all the way back in July at Raw 1000.

It's been a long time since we last saw The Rock on Monday Night Raw. So before his return to WWE tonight (Jan. 7, 2013) in Tampa, Florida, you can watch what happened the last time he showed up in the video above at Raw 1000 back in July of last year.

To recap: John Cena cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase in an attempt at winning the WWE championship from CM Punk. Big Show crashed the party and started beating Cena down, something Punk did nothing about. That signified his turn back to being a heel, a move most of us rejoiced as his babyface character had grown bland and stale.

The Rock, meanwhile, wasn't having any of this and hit the ring with a head of steam to take out Show and save his former enemy, Cena. He was just about to hit The People's Elbow too, when Punk, who had been leaving, suddenly jumped back in the ring and clotheslined him.

He followed that up with a GTS and just like that, the program was set.

Now, all these months later, it's set to resume at Raw tonight. Excited or what?
