That dastardly Brock Lesnar is causing even more damage than it originally seemed.
WWE.com has now updated its story on the injury angle the promotion is running with Chairman of the Board Vince McMahon from this past week's episode of Monday Night Raw in Las Vegas and instead of a broken pelvis, now the word is he has a broken hip and needs surgery:
WWE.com sources now indicate that Mr. McMahon suffered a broken left hip as the result of Brock Lesnar's surprise attack at the conclusion of Monday night's Raw and will have to undergo surgery as a result.
This works much better for the purposes they likely intend. McMahon breaking his pelvis doesn't feel like that big of a deal but McMahon breaking his hip is far more effective in getting across the fact that Lesnar is a monster who would F-5 a geriatric grandfather to the point that he busted his hip and now needs surgery to correct it.
That should also make it that much easier to cheer Triple H on when he comes back, possibly as soon as next Monday night, to say that while he's more or less retired, his body isn't broken down and why doesn't Brock pick on someone his own size. Or something to that effect.
You get the picture.
The big question is whether or not this angle is enough for you to get invested in Lesnar vs. Triple H part deux. I like it so far but do you? Let's get your thoughts in the comments section below.
UPDATE: The Wrestling Observer is reporting McMahon is legitimately getting surgery and that was planned, so now they're working it into storylines.
