A stipulation was added to the world heavyweight championship match set for the Royal Rumble on Jan. 27 as Alberto Del Rio will defend his title against Big Show in a Last Man Standing match.
You didn't think this would be a straight up singles match, did you?
A stipulation has been added to the Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show match scheduled for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Jan. 27, 2013, at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona. As per Michael Cole on tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw, the rematch from SmackDown just two weeks ago will be a Last Man Standing match.
That's the same match they had when Del Rio won the title in Miami. It's a nice bit of psychology to a feud that has produced far better than it has had any business doing. It's also interesting because Del Rio defeated Show in the last match by literally burying him under an announce table.
What can he do this time around?
Here's the current Royal Rumble match card:
- Royal Rumble
- CM Punk vs. The Rock
- Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show
- Team Hell No vs. The Rhodes Scholars
