CM Punk to decide Hell in a Cell opponent next Monday night: John Cena or Ryback?

Stay connected for news and updates

In his big return to Monday Night Raw, Vince McMahon mandated that WWE Champion CM Punk decide who he wants to face at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, either John Cena or Ryback.

Plan A or Plan B?

That's the question WWE is posed with and a question it is teasing viewers with on Monday Night Raw, as tonight's (Oct. 8, 2012) episode showcased. In his big return, Chairman of the Board Vince McMahon mandated that WWE Champion CM Punk choose his opponent for the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Oct. 28 in Atlanta.

His choices are John Cena (Plan A) or Ryback (Plan B).

The reason for the continued indecision on part of WWE is Cena's elbow rehabilitation, which may take long enough that he won't be able to wrestle in time to make the event. Obviously, that would necessitate a contingency plan and to their credit, the creative team has one in place.

But did you hear the crowd when McMahon offered Cena (loud cheers) and Ryback (crickets) as options?

Yeah.

Next week's Raw will be marked by Punk making the decision with the added stipulation that if he doesn't, McMahon will make it for him. This all came after an incredible, if a bit irresponsible, main event between Vinny Mac and "The Straight Edge Superstar."

Which match would you prefer, Cagesiders? Punk vs. Cena or Punk vs. Ryback?
