The Rock is getting the big push for his pay-per-view (PPV) return at the Royal Rumble next year, as WWE has released the official teaser trailer promo video. And it's all about "The Great One."
Now that TLC is officially in the books from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, last night (Dec. 16, 2012), it's time for WWE to begin its push toward its next big pay-per-view (PPV) event.
The Royal Rumble.
This Rumble isn't like most, however. It features the return of The Rock, who will headline the show in a WWE championship match against CM Punk. Or whomever is WWE champion by Sun., Jan. 27, 2013. It's expected that will be Punk but you can never tell with WWE, so it's best to always play it safe.
This initial trailer makes clear that "The Great One" will be the focus of the event, with the Rumble match itself taking a backseat. That's fine, too, because the Rumble match gets over with or without promotion. The Rock will only help.
