Alberto Del Rio, who has been working as a heel for his entire WWE run, wants to stay that way until his career ends. That shouldn't be a surprise but doesn't he need to get over at some point?
Here's a shocker: A pro wrestler enjoys working as a heel much more than a babyface.
Who would have thought?
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Alberto Del Rio says he wants to work as a heel until the end of his career because it's what he's good at.
"This is what I love to do. I'm just having the best time of my life being a heel. I want to be a heel for the rest of my career but I'm not sure if that's possible."
It might actually be possible if WWE can't figure out any way to get him over. He's too smarmy and cocky to be a babyface but he's not really hated as a heel. That's why he's floundering right now and aimlessly floating around, although he's spent the majority of his time with the company in the main event scene.
We'll see how long it lasts.
In the meantime, what would a Del Rio babyface character even look like?
