TNA wrapped up their weekend of tapings at Universal Studios yesterday, with segments designed to take us all the way to their next pay-per-view (PPV).
Brace yourself... here's what's coming on May 31 and June 7:
- Matt & Jeff Hardy contract signing for a Full Metal Mayhem match at Slammiversary. Tyrus and Spud don't want Matt to sign, so he says if they can beat Jeff in a handicap match, he won't. Jeff of course wins, and the contract is made.
- Trevor Lee retained his X-Division title in an Ultimate X match against DJZ, Eddie Edwards and Andrew Everett.
- Sienna def. Madison Rayne to earn a Knockouts title shot
- Ethan Carter III def. Matt Hardy via disqualification when Mike Bennett attacks him during the match. This appears to have had a stipulation where EC3 needed to win to keep his Slammiversary shot at Bennett, because reports say Mike cut a promo afterwards saying the PPV match was off because EC3 didn't really win.
- Eli Drake's "Facts of Life" segment has The Decay as guests. They run down BroMans, who appear with Racquel. Just as the fight is set to start, Grado & Mahabali Shera arrive, followed by Al Snow and his new back-up to set-up an eight-man.
- The Tribunal (Basille Baracca & Baron Dax) teamed with The Decay (Abyss & Crazzy Steve) to def. Shera, Grado & The BroMans (Robbie E & Jessie Godderz)
- Matt Hardy says he laid out his brother backstage, so their Slammiversary match is off. TNA champ Drew Galloway cut him off, setting up a match between them for later.
- Trevor Lee def. Eddie Edwards, for what I think is like the sixth time there tapings
- They teased Maria Kanellis wrestling with her husband in a mixed tag, but Allie replaced her. Gail Kim & EC3 def. Bennett & Allie. The guys brawl to the back while Maria, Allie & Sienna beat down Kim.
- Pepper Parks debuted; his new name is Braxton Sutter. He beat some local talent and was interviewed by Jeremy Borash in ring afterwards, saying he starts taking over at Slammiversary.
- Hardy vs. Galloway ended when Lashley ran in. After the schmoz, things got schmoz-ier when the lights went out and several men dressed as Willow appeared on stage. Another Willow appeared on the big screen and taunted Matt about Slammiversary. Jeff ran in and laid Matt out to end the evening.
Whew. Who's watching?
