This afternoon on Twitter, one of the wrestlers most closely associated with TNA Wrestling announced on his official Twitter account that he has left the promotion:
I have decided to part ways with @ImpactWrestling. My very best to them moving forward, and my eternal thanks to the fans.
— Samoa Joe (@SamoaJoe) February 17, 2015
No word on what prompted the decision or the reason behind the timing. PWInsider reports that they have confirmed that this is legitimate and not another social media hack. Joe was prominently featured in Impact's newest heel faction, MVP's Beatdown Clan, since the company relaunched the show on Destination America.
The Ring of Honor (ROH) founding member has been with TNA since 2005 and held every title in the company.
More on reasons behind the move and what's next for Samoa Joa and Impact as we have it, Cagesiders.
