Dixie Carter's fascination with Vince McMahon's company continues.
Impact has been using one or two men who are most famous for their time in WWE per taping (Snitskey and Ryklon "Ezekial" Jackson; Brodus Clay). The latest reported addition probably won't be serving as Ethan Carter III's bodyguard, though.
There's been a flurry of activity around former Tough Enough contestant and announcer/interviewer/host Josh Matthews. Released by the 'E in June, PWInsider.com points out that his 90 day non-compete clause is up, so his official tenure with TNA can begin. Mathews himself has backhandedly confirmed this with a Tweet that confirmed his location in Nashville (where TNA is headquartered) and alluded to his "boss":
Tom Petty in Nashville. My boss is better than your boss. Oh yeah, I tweet again. pic.twitter.com/TWMLc32qcV

Wrestlezone also captured the very TNA-ish way that the company kind-of confirmed their newest employee earlier this week...by publishing a story intimating that Mathews was in their offices and then deleting it - probably because someone realized that his non-compete wouldn't expire until today or tomorrow.
Today, Josh Mathews was spotted outside of TNA Wrestling Headquarters in Nashville, TN. Matthews would later enter a closed door meeting with TNA executives. No details on what was said, however IMPACTWrestling.com will keep you current when additional details are available.
Josh could be a pretty entertaining television (and especially internet) presence, but it seems unlikely that he'll be the missing piece that takes Impact to the next level. He could be a nice change of pace from their existing two-man booth, however, so we'll keep you posted with any news about their planned use of Mathews.
