Big news broke late last night that Spike TV, according to TMZ, has decided not to renew its television contract with TNA. This came on the heels of Vince Russo outing himself as working for the company while reports were flying that Spike TV hates him and were kept in the dark despite ongoing negotiations.
Well, if we're to believe TNA President Dixie Carter, negotiations are, in fact, still ongoing.
Negotiations with @SpikeTV are ongoing. Stay tuned and be sure to tune in this Thursday night for Ultimate X on #ImpactOnSpike!!

What's interesting about all this is Impact has seen a ratings resurgence in recent weeks with the most recent show scoring 1.42 million viewers, the most since around February. There's still value in keeping the company around, considering it is one of the highest rated programs on the network, but relations between the two sides could certainly be better.
Stay tuned.
