While TNA has been releasing talent left and right, including names like Crimson, Joey Ryan, Christian York, Taeler Hendrix, Matt Morgan, Doc, Tara, , D-Lo Brown, Bruce Prichard, and so on and so forth, there are certain names that seemed untouchable.
Hogan being one of them.
That isn't necessarily the case, however, as proven by a recent report from PWInsider.com that states Brooke Hogan, daughter of Impact General Manager Hulk Hogan, has been released by the company as part of its financial restructuring.
Brooke Hogan is gone from TNA, PWInsider.com has confirmed. The story making the rounds is that she was let go from the company on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. It appears she is the latest cut from the company due to their budget restructuring.
This is surprising for a number of reasons, the least of which is the fact that she is Hulk's daughter. Considering the lengths company President Dixie Carter has gone to keep him happy, it's interesting that Brooke was let go.
Then again, her job on screen as head of the Knockouts division was less than worthwhile and her ongoing storyline as Bully Ray's estranged wife went up in smoke when she publicly acknowledged her real life engagement to Dallas Cowboys' center Phil Costa.
Although you could argue releasing talents like Tara and Doc was indefensible, there's little debate on this decision. In fact, this move probably should have happened a long time ago.
