Bobby Roode has worked with nearly everyone on the TNA roster throughout his many years with the company but there are two names he hasn't had the chance to work an extensive program with that he would like to.
Bobby Roode has been working with TNA since 2004, having survived plenty of ups and downs with the company while working with nearly every member of the roster both old and new. But there are still a couple of guys he hasn't had the chance to work an extensive program with that he would really like to.
From an interview with the Big Wrestleshark Show:
"I would love to get into a program with Kurt Angle, we had the match at Bound for Glory which was kind of a one and done deal which was quickly forgotten about, so I would love to sink my teeth into something creatively with Kurt. Samoa Joe is another guy that we've been in this company together for many years and never had a chance to do anything creatively together. We had a chance to fight last year at Manchester for the title and I think we just had great chemistry and could really do something great in the future."
But what of the rest of the roster?
"I think you can compare our roster to anybody in the world. I mean when you look at the guys like Austin Aries and Zema Ion who just came in. Even the guys who are really untapped in their character, like Robbie E., I think we have such depth in our locker room and it's only going to get better. Once these guys mature and get a little more spotlight...I don't think anyone in the world can touch our roster."
Roode is currently working with Austin Aries in one of the most wildly entertaining tag teams in some time. He's in that perfect spot as a wrestler where he's established as a main event talent who can also draw and do well working on the undercard in the capacity he's in now.
Once he returns to singles competition, if he wants a program with Angle or Joe, count us in.
