In a recent ipadio update, Rob Van Dam addresses his TNA contract status and what his future may or may not be in pro wrestling. Could a return to WWE be in the works?

With news getting out recently that former X Division Champion Rob Van Dam has had his contract with TNA expire, there have naturally been a plethora of questions regarding what the future holds for the veteran hand. A return to WWE perhaps? A better deal with TNA?

RVD himself provided an update via ipadio:

"I have been reading a lot of tweets concerning my contract with TNA as of late. Questions such as, 'Is it true your contract is up?' 'Has your contract expired?' 'Are you re-signing with TNA?' 'Are you joining WWE?' 'What's the deal?' I appreciate all of the questions and I'm happy you brought it up and happy to address it ... just not right now. I plead the Fifth due to the grounds that it may be detrimental to my ongoing business affairs. Thank you for understanding. And, very soon, we'll talk about just that."

Of course he wouldn't reveal any real details at this stage of the game but as we've noted previously, don't expect WWE to make a major play for him. Bully Ray, Velvet Sky, Devon, Matt Morgan, and Bobby Roode all hit the open market and were passed up by the powers that be in Stamford and all ended up back in TNA.

Expect the same here.
