Bobby Roode isn't the only high profile wrestler with TNA to have his contract come up recently. Rob Van Dam is also now officially a free agent.

Just this past Sunday night (March 10, 2013), hours before TNA was set to hold its Lockdown pay-per-view (PPV) event at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, word got around that Tag Team Champion Bobby Roode was in limbo. Indeed, he had missed two shows and was about to miss a really important one thanks to a major oversight by company executive Bruce Prichard.

His contract had run out.

Thankfully, the issue was worked out and Roode reportedly never even bothered to negotiate with WWE while he was available. Now, yet another high profile roster member at TNA has hit the open market and he's a former WWE champion.

Cue thumbs -- Rob. Van. Dam.

Yes, the recent X Division champion had his contract expire recently and according to PW Insider, the two sides are now talking. Considering the state of the WWE roster and his history with the company, it seems unlikely Vince McMahon and company would be a suitor for his services, so if he's back in a pro wrestling ring any time soon, expect it to be with TNA.

Hell, maybe he'll come back and join the suddenly hot Aces and 8s.
