The newest TNA Knockout Champion Velvet Sky faced Gail Kim to successfully defend her title at the Lethal Lockdown pay-per-view (PPV) tonight (Sun., Mar. 10, 2013) in San Antonio, Texas at the Alamodome.

Although Kim took early control in this match and used every vice in her arsenal, including a slap to the face of the ref to escalate her ongoing feud with Knockouts referree Taryn Terrell, she still failed to grab hold of that butterfly looking belt she wants so desperately.

Not only did Kim lose her shot at the Knockout Title, she ate plenty of mat at the hands of Taryn and received a disqualification as her punishment for slappin her in the first place. This ongoing feud was all Velvet needed to recover from her beat down and hit an In Your Face for the win to retain her belt awhile longer.
