Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez must defend their tag team championship from the team of Joey Ryan and Matt Morgan.

The Road to Genesis

After Ryan and Morgan failed to beat the champions at Final Resolution, the rivalry between the two teams seemed to be over until last week's Impact. Hernandez challenged Morgan to a singles match, but Morgan had apparently injured himself in the weight room so Joey Ryan took his place in the match. During the match, Morgan revealed his injury was a ruse and interfered in the match to deliver a beat down to Hernandez. The champions returned the favor on this week's edition of Impact before deciding to "save it for Sunday".

Not much of a build up for this one, but that is TNA for you.

What's at stake?

Guerrero has made it clear that he wants to get rid of Joey Ryan. Ryan and Morgan must win to stay relevant on TNA and the TNA World Tag Team Championship would certainly help with that.
