TNA FR Preview: Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Roode

TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Bobby Roode

Will Bobby Roode reclaim the belt that was once his? He'll have to go through current kingpin Jeff Hardy to get the gold at Final Resolution.

The road to Final Resolution

Bobby Roode came up just short at earning a title shot at Turning Point, seeing James Storm pin AJ Styles to win a spot as contender for the TNA title. Roode challenged Storm to put his title shot on the line after getting in his head with talk about Storm's daughter on the Nov. 15 edition of Impact Wrestling.

Of course, that was that and Roode has set his sights on Hardy. Hardy has been battling with Austin Aries for the past couple of months, finally ridding of him at Turning Point. While Aries still hopes to get back in the picture, new blood awaits Hardy and Roode has been eager to test the mind of the "Charismatic Enigma."

While the two have had chance confrontations here and there, last week's episode of Impact Wrestling saw Roode team up with Kaz and Daniels to take on Hardy, AJ Styles, and James Storm. Hardy got the victory for his team, but was soon put down by Aces & Eights, who gave Roode the thumbs up. Roode returned the gesture, signifying his payoff to the group to put Hardy at a disadvantage tonight.

What's at stake?

For Hardy, the title and the relevance that comes with it are all on the line. Hardy's rise to the top has been a long one and to have a sudden fall could be a big slip in his career that he might not recover from. Having shown fortitude in his defenses of the belt, Hardy needs to prove to a new opponent that he has the chops to hang with anyone that comes at him.

For Roode, the spotlight has eluded him since dropping the belt. While he has butted heads with Storm in the past, it has been a relatively quiet time for Roode as of late. The man thrives on the spotlight and has the skill to back all of the ego up. This would validate his quest to regain the gold and prove to fans that his first title run was nothing close to a fluke.

Will Roode leave with the gold around his waist? Jeff Hardy has the gold around his and will be trying his hardest to prevent that from happening. Find out what goes down TONIGHT at Final Resolution!

TNA FR Preview: AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels

AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels

In what could be the last contest for these men for the foreseeable future, will Christopher Daniels psych out AJ Styles, or will Styles just be too much for Daniels inside the squared circle?

The road to Final Resolution

Christopher Daniels and his partner Kazarian have been a thorn in the side of AJ Styles for the better part of a year now. This all began over the infamous Claire Lynch, who claimed that she was carrying AJ's lovechild. The group fought tooth and nail with Styles until the facade was up and Lynch admitted to lying.

Since then, Daniels and Kaz have been in pursuit of the TNA World Tag Team Championships, having won the titles for a moment in time, then dropping them to Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez. The two have been unsuccessful as of late, which lead the group to calling out Styles for one last go-around.

Styles has fought to maintain relevance in the main event scene, having lost at Turning Point and suffering a nearly one year ban on competing for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Styles has recently been at odds with James Storm, but Daniels and Kazarian took priority when they called him out.

What's at stake?

For Daniels, he has been unable to get a definitive victory over Styles to prove his claims that he is indeed the better man. Daniels has also been in somewhat of a slump after losing the tag team gold. A win here would not only boost the pride and ego of the already obnoxious Daniels, but also make him a relevant competitor in TNA for whatever belt he pursues.

For Styles, it is all about getting back the relevance he once had. He has been on the backburner of the main event scene for so long and a win here would mend a lot. Styles needs a win to maintain relevancy and get back on a positive track that can potentially lead him to a title belt in the near future.

Who is the better man between Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles? Watch and find out TONIGHT at Final Resolution!

TNA FR Preview: Bully Ray vs. Austin Aries

Bully Ray vs. Austin Aries

Having turned Hulk Hogan against Bully Ray after the steamy relationship between Brooke Hogan and Bully, does Austin Aries have the upper hand on Bully?

The road to Final Resolution

Since losing to TNA Champion Jeff Hardy in a ladder match on November's Turning Point pay-per-view, Austin Aries has been dead-set on returning to the title picture.

Conversely, Bully Ray has been taking things a bit leisurely lately, taking a break from battling Aces & Eights and other foes to settle down. He is perhaps taken things a bit too leisurely and gotten too cozy, as he has found himself snuggling up to Brooke Hogan.

Since then, Aries has been nonstop in taunting Bully through his new beau. Aries has been playing on the quick temper of Bully Ray and turning Hulk Hogan's fatherly instincts against the man who has been spending time with Brooke.

Tensions came to a boil this week as Hulk Hogan denied the match request from Bully Ray at first, but eventually relented to set this matchup for tonight's show.

What's at stake?

For Aries, beating Bully Ray puts a big feather in his cap for reentry into the title picture. He also beats someone who is rubbing the Impact Wrestling GM the wrong way, which can't be too bad for him. A win here would catapult Aries into championship contention once again and prove that his relevance near the top of the company was not just a phase.

For Bully, his pride and his loyalty have been questioned by Hulk Hogan and Austin Aries. This is his chance to prove his true intentions by fighting Aries to teach him a little respect. Aries' constant insults have lit a fire under Bully that painted him into asking for this match. With a win here, Bully might finally earn the respect of Hulk Hogan and ease the red-hot tension that has been between the two.

Will Bully Ray reign supreme with pride intact, or will the dastardly Austin Aries be able to get in the head of the big man to get an edge? Find out TONIGHT at Final Resolution.

TNA FR Preview: Aces & Eights vs. Angle and co.

Aces & Eights vs. Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Wes Brisco, and Garrett Bischoff

Lead by DOC and Devon, can the notorious biker gang known as Aces & Eights defeat TNA staples Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Wes Brisco, and Garrett Bischoff?

The road to Final Resolution

Aces & Eights have run amok on TNA for quite a while now, with Kurt Angle recently having a target put on his back for the constant saves he has tried to make. Angle has gone back and forth with the group, with his most significant victory coming at Turning Point last month against Devon.

Samoa Joe took on Devon this week on Impact Wrestling to defend his TV title. Unfortunately, the group had a gaggle of women at ringside to distract the referee, allowing DOC to nail Joe with his infamous hammer. Devon took home the TV title and gained the ire of Samoa Joe.

In addition, Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff have been protégées of Angle's for quite sometime now. However, when it comes to conflicting with the biker gang, the two have never been able to lay a punch on the group. Despite this rather suspicious detail, the two will be tagging with Angle against the group on Sunday.

What's at stake?

For the TNA stars, it is all about respect and keeping their own territory. Aces & Eights have proven to be dominant with their gang mentality and the company has suffered for it in more ways than one. This win will perhaps turn the tide against the biker gang and start to sew the seeds of dissension within the group.

For the Aces & Eights, all their success lies in their power. They have access to every TNA event and are able to overwhelm anyone in their path with numbers or some dirty advantages. A win here will continue their path of dominance and boost morale within the group. It also may prevent the loss of identity for another one of the members in the gang.

Will Aces & Eights maintain their power with the iron fist they have kept on TNA, or will the youth and ring savvy of Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Wes Brisco, and Garrett Bischoff be too much? Find out TONIGHT at Final Resolution!

TNA FR Preview: Chavo & Hernandez vs Morgan & Ryan

TNA World Tag Team Championship: Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez (c) vs. Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan

The TNA World Tag Team Championship is up for grabs when Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez take on Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan at Final Resolution.

The road to Final Resolution

Chavo Guerrero made his Impact Wrestling debut on July 26. Although Gunner and Kid Kash did not take too kindly to him waltzing into the Impact Zone, Hernandez was quick to help his little buddy. Chavo & Hernandez easily dispatched Gunner & Kash, and the pair set their sights on loftier goals. They defeated Christopher Daniels & Kazarian and AJ Styles & Kurt Angle at Bound For Glory (Oct. 14) to become the TNA World Tag Team Champions. The pair successfully defended the titles against Daniels & Kazarian at Turning Point (Nov. 11). They now look to add another title defense to their reign.

Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan may seem like an odd couple, but they are both brought together by their outsider status. Ryan appeared on the May 24 edition of Impact Wrestling as a Gut Check contestant. Although he was not offered a contract, he would continue to harass Taz and Al Snow in the following months. Snow would finally give Ryan an opportunity for a TNA contract if Ryan could beat him in a match at Bound For Glory.

Morgan had seemingly left TNA for that other promotion after his contract ran out in mid-July. To the surprise of everyone, though, "The Blueprint" would make his return to TNA at Bound For Glory to help Ryan pick up the win against Snow. Ryan would be granted a contract with TNA, and it was the start of a beautiful friendship.

What's at stake?

Chavo & Hernandez have been a strong, if somewhat uninteresting, pair of champions. They should be heavily favored in this matchup. A win would continue their monotonus reign. A loss, however, might push these Latino Buddies to the bottom of the tag team division.

Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan are the underdogs in this matchup. Ryan has had a few opportunities at the X Division Championship, but failed to come up with a victory. Winning the straps tonight would prove all the doubters wrong for both men. Failure, and they will show that they are all talk and no walk.

Will Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez continue their run as TNA World Tag Team Champions, or can Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan shock the world? You have to tune into TNA's Final Resolution TONIGHT to find out!

TNA FR Preview: Rob Van Dam vs. Kenny King

X Division Championship: Rob Van Dam (c) vs. Kenny King

"The Whole F'n Show" Rob Van Dam will defend the X Division Championship against TNA newcomer Kenny King.

The road to Final Resolution

Rob Van Dam defeated Zema Ion at Bound For Glory (Oct. 14) to win his first X Division Championship. RVD has proven to be a fighting champion, and has successfully defended the title against Ion, Joey Ryan, Kid Klash, and Austin Aries over the past two months. His wins have been impressive so far, and he looks to continue his reign tonight.

Kenny King has had a long and winding path to get to this point. He was working with TNA in 2005-06, but failed to win a single match in that timeframe. He would move to Ring of Honor (ROH) to gain some experience. King would win the ROH World Tag Team Championship before trying his hands at greener pastures.

King won his first match in TNA on July 5, qualifying him for the X Division Championship tournament at Destination X. He would eventually lose in an Ultimate X match for the title against Zema Ion. King would get two more shots at Ion, but failed to capitalize in both. Now, though, King has been chosen to go one-on-one against RVD.

What's at stake?

This is Rob Van Dam's first run as X Division Champion, and he is making it count. He is 55 days in and he already has four successful title defenses under his belt. Another win tonight and he will make his first reign all the more impressive. However, RVD is getting older and older. It is uncertain if he can keep up with the young talent that is breaking into TNA. Losing the belt may be one of the first signs of his eventual decline.

Kenny King has had a few chances to grab the X Division Championship, but has fallen short on all of them. The talent is surely there for him to win the gold; he just needs to put it all together for one match. A victory here will vault him to the top of the division. Another loss in a championship match, though, and people may start wondering if he was given too much, too fast.

Can Rob Van Dam continue his impressive run as X Divsion Champion, or will Kenny King's youth overpower RVD's experience? Find out TONIGHT at TNA's Final Resolution.

TNA FR Preview: Tara vs. Mickie Jame

Knockout Championship: Tara (c) vs. Mickie James

Tara – with the hunky Jesse by her side – will put her Knockout Championship on the line against the lovely Mickie James.

The road to Final Resolution

Tara defeated her former protégé Miss Tessmacher at Bound For Glory (Oct. 14) to win her record tying fifth Knockout Championship. After winning the title, Tara introduced the super famous, super sexy Jesse -- from Big Brother seasons 10 and 11 -- as her secret boyfriend. Jesse would prove to be instrumental in Tara's success, often distracting opponents as to allow the Knockout Champion to pick up the win. The pair have become TNA's power couple, and stand united against all challengers.

Mickie James has always been a force in the Knockout Division, but she often has fallen short of winning the gold. Her last reign was between Aug. and Sept. of 2011. Since then she has repeatedly failed to separate herself from the pack. After losing a #1 Contender's match on Aug. 2, she took a brief hiatus from Impact Wrestling. Mickie returned to to the Impact Zone on Nov. 15, and was able to defeat Gail Kim, ODB, Madison Rayne, and Miss Tessmacher to become the new #1 Contender for the Knockout Championship.

What's at stake?

For Tara, this is a chance to show that she she can be one of the most dominate Knockout Champions in TNA's history. Although she has tied the record for most titles, they have only lasted between 1 and 78 days (she is currently sitting at 55 days). A win tonight will help prove that her victories aren't just luck and that she can have a consistent run with the strap. A loss, though, and Tara maintains her streak of very short reigns with the strap.

Mickie hasn't held the championship in over a year, and she is hungry to put herself back on top of the fairer sex's division. Tonight is an opportunity to finally reclaim the gold. A loss, however, would push her to the back of the line. With the likes of Gail Kim, ODB, Velvet Sky, Miss Tessmacher, and many others waiting for a shot, Mickie needs to take advantage of this moment.

Does Tara prove that she is a fighting champion? Can Mickie reclaim the top spot? How will Jesse play a role in the match? These are all questions that can only be answered by watching TNA's Final Resolution TONIGHT!
