TNA Impact results and live blog for Nov. 1: Open Fight Night

TNA returns to Spike TV tonight (Nov. 1, 2012) with its latest episode of Impact Wrestling, featuring another gimmick show, Open Fight Night. We've got complete results, reactions and a live blog right here.

TNA Impact Wrestling comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Nov. 1, 2012) from the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida, featuring "Open Fight Night," the promotion's monthly episode that showcases mandatory matches via seemingly random call outs.

Random my ass.

On tonight's show, Bully Ray will battle Devon after calling him out last week while ODB has plans to call out Tara's boyfriend, Jesse. In addition, Aces and 8s will once again be running wild.

Show kicks off with a still in tribute of Brad Armstrong.

We are live.

Joseph Park is in the ring. He says he has been around long enough to know what "Open Fight Night" is all about. He says he never wanted to be a wrestler, but he is a damn fine attorney. After when Aces and 8s violated his civil rights, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

He says he asked Hogan for a match with Aces and 8s, but he gave no answer since he isn't a member of the TNA roster. That legal loophole he found was "Open Fight Night."

And he calls out a member Aces and 8s.

Four men come out. They enter the ring and start shoving Park around.

Angle comes out and starts laying the group down, but the group outnumbers him. Sting enters with a bat and the group clears out. Sting takes the mic and says that tonight, a member of Aces and 8s will certainly get their mask ripped off.


Magnus wants to call out someone, and he will next.


Jesse with Tara backstage. He says he has an ear infection because of her. He says he is a man and he shouldn't have to face a woman. He asks if Tara has his back, to which she replies affirmatively.

She sterilizes him and they kiss.


Magnus calls out Samoa Joe for the TNA TV title.


TNA Television Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Magnus

The two open up brawling. Joe rips Magnus' cshirt off and hits a chop. Splash in the corner and the tornado kick. Magnus down and Joe picks him up for a headbutt. Jabs by Joe. Joe sends Magnus into the opposite corner and runs into a boot. Magnus goes up top, but he eats an inverted atomic drop. Joe with a running kick and a senton splash for a nearfall.

Joe with jabs and he goes off the ropes. Magnus leapfrogs and then gets a flying knee. Magnus stomps on the downed Joe and gets a nearfaall.

Magnus with an uppercut. Sends Joe into the ropes, but Joe with a kick off the back bodydrop attempt. Joe goes off the ropes, but Magnus follows and clobbers him with a clothesline for a nearfall.

Sleeper hold in for Magnus. Joe fights out and the two exchange strikes in the middle of the ring. Joe getting the rear-naked choke in, but Magnus with a jawbreaker. Joe in the corner, but Magnus eats a Rock Bottom. Joe sends him to the outside with a clothesline.

We move outside and Magnus looking for something under the ring. Joe picks him up and slams him into the ring post on his back. Magnus down and he finally picks up the foreign object, that being a wrench. Joe being admonished outside by referee Earl Hebner.

The two move inside and Magnus knocks him out with the wrench right in front of the referee.

Joe KO'd, but he gets the win via disqualification.


Kurt Angle backstage and he wants Devon tonight. Hulk Hogan won't allow it, but says Angle can have Devon at Turning Point.

Angle says that's fine and he is ready to scrap tonight and he has Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff for backup.


Sting, Angle, and crew all walk out, ready to go.


Joe backstage and he says Magnus will not escape him.

He says he wants to throw out all the rules because Joe is gonna kill him.

Hardy video package rolls.


Daniels and Kaz out. They say Aces and 8s aren't the biggest posers around here, but Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez are.

Kazarian says that he got some of the "amigos" upset backstage, saying they might have even been "muy caliente."

Daniels says that he wants to call out the member of the legendary Guerrero family and the big man.

And he calls out the Spanish announce team!

Back from the break. Kazarian asks if they are "Mexicans" or "Mexican'ts." Kazarian challenges the "senor," or "senorita".

Daniels asks Urbina if he wants to fight and what would make him want to. He clocks Urbina with the mic.

Hector Guerrero knocks Kaz down, but the team dominates the announce crew.

Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez come to save them.


"Gut Check" competitor Christian York is profiled.


ODB on the phone with Eric Young's voicemail.

She tells EY to be there and bring the fried chicken.


Christian York vs. Zema Ion

York throws Ion's hairspray away and they start to brawl.

York knocks Ion down. Chop to the chest. He rips Ion's vest off. Another chop. He sends Ion off the ropes and Ion tries a headscissors, but York cartwheels through and gets a back elbow for a nearfall.

York with an armlock, but Ion fights out and puts him down. York with strikes and he tries to whip Ion but he gets reversed. Ion runs into York's boot. Koppu Kick and a half-nelson suplex by York. He spears Ion on the corner. York goes up top, but Ion rolls to the apron. Ion gets York on a hangman's neckbreaker. Flying DDT by Ion for a nearfall.

Ion choking York on the second rope after some strikes. He rakes the eyes and works York in the corner. Suplex by Ion and a leg drop by Ion. Ion runs to the corner and goes for a springboard moonsault, but York gets the knees up. Ion manages to throw him outside. Ion looking for a suicide dive, but York climbs back in and clobbers him with a lariat. York with the Moon Swing, a swinging neckbreaker, for a nearfall.

York on the outside. Ion against the ring and he back bodydrops York into the ropes, but York rebounds and gets a headscissors. Ion goes into the steps.

We move back inside and Ion turns the tide and locks in the Submission Impossible, an armbar.

Ion wins after York submits.


Austin Aries backstage, still walking around with the old TNA championship. Aries says he is still the face of this company and he basks in the spotlight.

Aries says he has business to take care of and meets up with Robbie E and Robbie T.


Bully Ray backstage and Garrett Bischoff comes up to tell him that Devon stabbed him in the back as well. He tells Bully that he has his back. Bully thanks him.

Aces and 8s are in the parking lot and a brawl ensues between Wes Brisco, Sting, Garrett Bischoff, Bully, and Kurt Angle. Devon lurks in the distance and Bully takes chase.

The group escapes and Sting says the night is still young.


ODB goes hard on Jesse, then calls him out.

Tara accompanies Jesse.

ODB unloading with chops on the chest of Jesse. Jesse moves to the outside and has Tara kiss the pecs. Tara encourages him to get back in there.

Jesse again going for the punches and ODB is constantly ducking under and slapping the chest. Jesse is in the corner and ODB goes to mount him for some punches, but Jesse pushes her off. Jesse tries an elbow drop after some flexing, but ODB rolls out of the way.

Jesse moves to the outside to talk to Tara and the two run from ODB. ODB catches up after the couple rolls back inside.

ODB still unleashing punishment on Jesse. She sits up top and slams Jesse's face into her nether regions over and over. Tara gets up to talk to Taryn Terrell. Jesse gets a bodyslam on ODB. Tara once again wants to talk to Jesse and they kiss a bit. ODB comes and gets a scoop slam on Jesse. She starts to spank him.

And Tara again gets on the apron. She attempts to slap her twice, but ODB ducks and grabs Tara. JEsse comes up from behind for the rollup.

Jesse with the...upset? I guess?


Mike Tenay comes to do play-by-play. Jeremy Borash stays, as Taz is dealing with Hurricane Sandy.

They talk up Devon vs. Bully Ray a bit.


Robbie E and Robbie T join us.

Robbie E says the best part of the BFG Series was Robbie E beating Jeff Hardy. He says lightning always strikes twice and calls out Hardy.


Jeff Hardy vs. Robbie E

Hardy immediately putting the boots to Robbie E. Inverted atomic drop and groin leg drop for a nearfall.

Hardy sent into the corner and Robbie E runs into the boots. Hardy goes up top and lands a splash that earns him a nearfall.

Robbie E moves outside to regroup. Robbie drags Hardy to the outside. Hardy throws Robbie into the steps. Robbie on the barricade and Hardy gets Poetry in Motion. Hardy puts Robbie on the inside, but Robbie T tosses him into the barricade.

Hardy down as we move to break.

Back and Hardy is down inside the ring. Robbie E standing tall. Robbie E taunts Hardy. He sends Hardy into the ropes, but Hardy with forearms and a back elbow. Robbie whips Hardy into the ropes and Hardy baseball slides Robbie T. Hardy on the apron and a shoulder block. Robbie T moves up to the apron. Hardy hits a kick and tries a Twist of Fate, but Robbie E plants him with a DDT for a nearfall.

Hardy comes back with a few knockdowns and a front suplex. Twist of Fate lands for Hardy. He goes up top and hits the Swanton. Hook of the leg.

Hardy wins.

Austin Aries comes out. He says the difference between them is simply three seconds. Aries says he is still the best wrestler in the universe and the most dominant man in TNA. He says Hardy knocked him off the ladder, but he will come back strong at Turning Point.

Hardy says that if he wants to do it at Turning Point, they need to do it right. Aries says talking about him climbing the ladder was a metaphor, but Hardy has a ladder and he sits atop.

Aries says he is a wrestler, not a climber. He heads backstage.

Matt Morgan shows up and says that this is the time and the place. He takes one of Hogan's old robes and says for him to watch the history he makes in that robe. He dares Terry to embarrass himself in front of his fans.

James Storm backstage with Hulk Hogan.

James Storm wants Hogan to know he understands what he did last week. Hogan says that he has plans for Storm this week.


Bobby Roode here.

He says that he is here to state a fact. He says he is getting screwed again. Roode says that last week, Hogan had a deliberation in his office with four men potentially getting a shot at Hardy. Roode says he knows that Hogan put a clause in his contract that he couldn't have a shot at the title as long as Aries is champion.

"Newsflash, brother! Aries isn't champion anymore!"

Roode says that he would be the champ if he had got the shot last week.

Enter AJ Styles.

Styles says that Roode needs to stop complaining. He says no one cares about the past. He says fans and wrestlers alike care about who should be the next contender for the TNA title.

Oh, and he drops a gem about him having pictures taken of him getting into an elevator with someone of the opposite sex, that being a trend with people named AJ.

Slick, TNA.

Styles calls out Roode.

Roode says he isn't here to fight and that he will not wrestle Styles.

He goes to leave the ring, but comes from behind and knocks AJ down. He goes back for more, but Styles is there with punches. He clotheslines Roode to the outside.

Hogan enters and Storm is with him.

Hogan says both men deserve a title shot. Hogan says that he will create a triple-threat match and that whoever gets pinned will not be allowed a title shot until Bound for Glory next year.

Storm vs. Roode vs. Styles.


Joey Ryan and Matt Morgan apparently have someone to call out next.

Ryan says he prides himself on avoiding VDs, but he is calling out RVD.


Rob Van Dam vs. Joey Ryan

RVD clotheslines Ryan. He gets distracted by Morgan, but he nails Ryan with a spinning wheel kick. Ryan sends him to the apron, but RVD is able to fight back inside of the ring.

RVD roughing up Ryan in the corner with many kicks. He knocks Ryan down twice, then hits the Rolling Thunder. RVD goes up top for the Frog Splash, but Ryan is dragged out of the way by Morgan.

Ryan rolls up RVD and has the tights for the victory.

Ryan tries to fight RVD after the bell, but Ryan is sent packing.

And Morgan nails RVD with the Carbon Footprint.


Devon with Aces and 8s backstage, prepping for Bully Ray.


Roode vs. Styles next week.


Bully Ray vs. Devon

Bully charges, but Devon immediately moves to the outside.

Devon walking around the ring and Bully goes outside to get the table.

Devon still stays outside.

And out comes Aces and 8s. They all enter the ring.

Bully grabs his chain, but the group still circling.

And out comes the TNA roster. Another brawl, folks.

Devon and Bully left in the ring. Devon tries a punch, but Bully drops him with a right. Bully going for a powerbomb, but a member of Aces and 8s sends him outside.

Joseph Park gets inside the ring. And the big member of Aces and 8s starts beating him down.

Parks pulls off the mask, revealing it to be Luke Gallows. Gallows chokeslams Park through the table.

Fade to black.
