When Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat climbed between the ropes to ply their craft, it was always a sight to behold. They were masters of their trade, able to have a great match no matter the situation.
One of their best matches was their clash at Chi Town Rumble 1989, when Steamboat finally captured the world heavyweight title in an emotional battle that saw Flair find his equal. It was an epic.
According to you Cagesiders, it wasn't as good as Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon and a ladder at WrestleMania 10. They too created magic, thrilling fans at the biggest show of the year with a match most had no idea could work. They did this in a time long before the Hardy Boyz were flying off tables, ladders, chairs, and stages while taking increasingly sick and dangerous bumps.
Their inspiration? Michaels vs. Ramon. And with two TLC matches still hanging around in the tourney, it's no surprise "Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon, WrestleMania 10" scored the 28-18 victory over "Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat, Chi Town Rumble 1989."
