Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- Nikki Bella resumed training at the Performance Center on Monday. There's no specific timetable for a return, but if things go as expected she should be back in September.
- Paul Heyman's contract issues with WWE are expected to be resolved so he can return for SummerSlam, but it's doubtful he'll be on Raw with Brock Lesnar next week.
- The hang-up on Jeff Hardy returning to WWE when his TNA contract is up early next year (or one of them, anyway) is Jeff isn't interested in working a full-time schedule, and WWE wants big veteran names on house shows to bolster attendance.
- Though season three won't hit airwaves until later this year or possibly early 2017, plans are already taking shape for Lucha Underground's fourth season. Filming is expected to start this Fall.
- The Social Outcasts are no more. In addition to Heath Slater's free agent gimmick and Curtis Axel's "Mr. Irrelevant", Bo Dallas taped Superstars in full solo "Bo-Lieve" mode.
