So I'm not going to sit here and act like I know what was going on here, because I didn't most of the time. This was my first time attending a Lucha Libre show (Mucha Lucha Atlanta's Sunday, July 17 show in Norcross, Georgia), but goddamn was it amazing. I won't go in depth as to what went on, since 99.9972% of anything spoken on the microphone was en Español.
To sum it all up there was an intergender match, a Pro-Trump stable (the Lynch Mob), a death match (SO MUCH BLOOD), some new talent new to the business, Mr. 450 (Puerto Rican) heeling hard by spraying air freshener on the crowd (mostly Mexican), and a 3-Way Dance (Pentagon Jr., Fenix, Tigre Del Ring).
Here are some pictures that I took. I went into it going for a grimey photo journalism feel. And yes, I watermarked the hell out of them. I've been a moderator and photographer long enough to know what I have to do in order for my work to not get stolen.
And if you're curious I shot on a Sony A7ii with Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 manual focus lens and a Sony RX1.
