Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- After reports earlier in the day pointing to his issue being neck-related as opposed to the initial word of a lower back injury, Alberto Del Rio was apparently cleared by WWE medical anyway during a pre-Raw check-up. No word on if he'll return to the ring before Fastlane.
- His League of Nations partner Sheamus remains out of action and in a cast for tendonitis. Although he is still working out, there's said to be no timetable for his return.
- NXT's Tye Dillinger may have received some good news, with word backstage being that he sprained his knee at this past weekend's Detroit house show - surprising many who thought video showed him breaking his ankle.
- There doesn't look to be long-term plans to keep Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch together as a team, but much of the Divas booking is in flux right now. Team B.A.D.'s break-up was started but cut from SmackDown and reports indicate it was not 100% for Raw as the show was going on air.
- Mr. 450, who holds Puerto Rico's WWC Universal title, has hinted in interviews that he should be back on NXT in 2016.
