We all knew it wasn’t over, and after title fights in Hell in a Cell and and with a Last Man Standing stipulation, we knew it wouldn’t wrap up with just any old match.
On the Dec. 5th episode of Raw, we found out where Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair’s long feud over the Women’s championship would go next. And, of course, it will MAKE HISTORY!
The current champ, Sasha Banks, laid out the challenge during an interview with Charly Caruso early in the show. Seeing how Flair claimed that the two were an example of “iron sharpens iron”, the Boss suggested an Iron Man match for Roadblock on Dec. 18:

All night long, the show built to a main event segment between Charlotte and her father Ric Flair. Shortly before that happened, Michael Cole announced the Nature Girl had accepted the challenge, and in less than two weeks in Pittsburgh, the two will face off in a 30 minute Iron Man match.

Sasha was famously in another Iron Man match in NXT, when Bayley defeated her three falls to two at TakeOver: Respect. This will be the first one between two female performers on the main roster, however.
For folks understandly weary of another match in a really long program, WWE turned up the heat in that closing scene with Papa Flair. Charlotte drew him to the ring, and in for a hug, with a long, tearful apology... and then slapped the taste out of his mouth:
A hug for Dad? NO!!

Banks ran in to make the save, but Flair was ready for her. After tossing her into the barricade, we got a prolonged beatdown of the champ, and more taunts thrown at the two-time Hall of Famer:

Looking forward to what will likely be a really good match? Or just ready for it all to be over?
Or both?
