I Don't 'Get' It, WWE

Cagesiders, I felt inspired to write this after reading the article by Sean Rueter entitled "Triple H buries the term 'buried', and other ways WWE doesn't think you 'get' their business", so here we go:

I don't "get" why they don't "get" that we don't "GET" it?

I "get" NXT, and so do many of your most passionate fans (you know, the ones who can get you more casual viewers by spreading the good word about your wonderful product INSTEAD of often bringing in B-level entertainers to try and draw in the casual audience you crave, often unsuccessfully for the long-term), so why is that so hard to replicate with more TV time, more players, and more writers on the main roster (oh I think we all know why - VKM's last-minute scrapping of ideas and re-writes)?

I "get" when a feud/storyline progresses well AND to completion (see D-Bry vs. the Authority).

Examples of what I don't "get" re: storylines: the Bellas not feuding all of a sudden, then turning face for absolutely no reason; Miz/Sandow final angle/payoff (and NOT doing it better on a PPV); the Rhodes brothers not getting that big-time feud against each other, with Dustin putting over Cody, etc. (obviously this section could continue for QUITE A BIT)

I "get" why you give me just a taste of Brock every so often (b/c of his contract AND b/c he gives us those "oh shit - here he comes moments" that many enjoy, i.e. the special attraction theory).

I "get" why you didn't want to go with D-Bry this year for WM Play's 31's main event NOW (recurring worries about health issues).

I'm not sure I "get" why it had to be Roman Reigns this year (next year would've been fine; still thought RR should've been the one to give Rusev his first pinfall loss AND win the U.S. title, not Jern).

At least WWE "got" it by not crucifying Reigns and calling the audible to give the WHC to Rollins instead (just rewards for the performer also - was the backbone of programming for most of the year). BTW, Rollins "gets" it re: this business.

I don't "get" why Kane & (especially) Big Show are still given such major screen time when there are more exciting AND underutilized performers on this roster that are more deserving of the chance to prove themselves at this point in time.

I don't "get" why WWE doesn't place a bit more of prominence on all of the title scenes (especially the tag team divison right now), thereby making for better midcard storylines AND better use of those underutilized players (so they're NOT underutilized).

I think WWE finally "gets" it with The New Day, although it took them a bit to see the light (why were they fighting it again?).

I still don't "get" why VKM did what he did to Cesaro AND Wyatt last year (this year also with Wyatt vs. 'Taker) - purposely stalled both characters when they were seemingly red-hot, and I don't "get" how they don't "get" that.

I don't "get" how NXT women can tear it up week after week by having fantastic matches that advance storylines logically, and the main roster women are booked as afterthoughts (I still don't "get" why there was no AJ vs. Paige for the Diva's Women's title in a HIAC match - would've been a spectacle to see those two women compete in that environment).

I guess since I don't "get" it I should let Enzo take it from here:

"And - this right here - this is Vincent Kennedy McMahon, and he's full of ideas that we don't 'get'....AND you can't 'GET' THAT!"

Truer words were never spoken, Enzo - perhaps we CAN teach Triple H and VKM THAT...you shouldn't discount the opinions of your most vocal part of your fanbase because they can help you draw all the eyeballs you desire if you simply satisfy their eyeballs.

Hopefully someone at WWE will "get" that before too many passionate fans "get" fed up and stop being advocates for your product.
