Last night's airing of Friday Night SmackDown featured the addition of two new matches to the upcoming Night of Champions pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Sun., Sept. 21, 2014, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
First, Mark Henry laid down a challenge to Rusev and the Russian sympathizer accepted. So while a championship may not be on the line the title for best hoss in the business most certainly will be.
Elsewhere, Stardust & Goldust promised to take the tag team championship from The Usos. WWE has yet to officially announce that match in the form of a write up at WWE.com, but that's coming soon.
Here's the updated Night of Champions match card and line-up:
- Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena (WWE world heavyweight championship)
- Sheamus vs. Cesaro (US championship)
- Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz (Intercontinental championship)
- Paige vs. AJ Lee vs. Nikki Bella (Divas championship)
- The Usos vs. Goldust & Stardust (Tag team championship)
- Mark Henry vs. Rusev
